Continuity mistake: When Bugs and Sam are duelling with their pistols, Sam marches out on the road and is run over by a bus. You can see Sam is holding his pistol when he is run over, but after a quick cut to Bugs we return to Sam, and his pistol is nowhere to be seen.
Factual error: If we are to assume that the British cruisers were Dido class with 5.25" guns, the assertion that the Essen would outrange them by 5000 yards is pretty much true. However, in order for the Brits to launch torpedoes, they would have had to close to inside of 20K yards, well within range of their main guns. Thus said, if the British cruisers were any of their 6 inch gun class, there would have been no advantage in range.
Continuity mistake: When the whistle goes for 5 o'clock on the punch clock, you can see that the hour hand is on the "12", but in the next shot it is now on the "1."
Continuity mistake: When the squirrel attempts to cut the coconut with the saw, the saw's teeth break off and fall around the coconut. But when the squirrel returns with an axe, the pieces of teeth have changed position.
Continuity mistake: When Foghorn Leghorn is watching the dog marching, he is holding some corn on the cob in his hand. But when he is marching along with the dog, the corn is nowhere to be seen.
Factual error: As the team practices, the film shows the passage of time by using a calendar. The month of July ends on Thursday, the 31st, but August the first is shown to start on Wednesday.
Continuity mistake: When Elmer has finished making the robot, you can see there is nothing by the slot in which Elmer feeds pictures. But when the robot goes to the donkey, a dial appears where it remains for the rest of the short.
Continuity mistake: Throughout the cartoon, watch Mickey's bait bucket. In some shots, the word "Bait" is printed on the side; in other shots it is missing.
