Continuity mistake: Angelica has flowers on her dress. During the wedding, they disappear and reappear between shots.
Revealing mistake: When the elephants are making fun of Dumbo in the train caboose, Dumbo's mother pulls a pin which causes the stall door above the other elephants to fall. When the door bounces back up, you can see that the animators forgot to draw the elephants' heads and trunks and only their bodies are visible.
Continuity mistake: During "Eyesight to the Blind," The Preacher's guitar changes from a red Les Paul to a black Stratocaster. It's not blatantly obvious, but easy enough to spot without slow-mo. (00:26:33 - 00:30:02)
Continuity mistake: While Eddie performs "Hot Patootie", he's seated on the motorcycle with Columbia for a bit, and when Eddie stands up he's holding the mic in his left hand, but as he walks up the steps it's in his right hand, then next shot when he's facing Frank-N-Furter the mic is in Eddie's left hand, and next shot it's back to his right hand again.
Continuity mistake: When Jean Valjean is telling Marius that he is leaving and who he is, a large armoire appears behind Marius and then disappears in the next shot. (02:15:20)
Revealing mistake: The film was rushed to theaters, leaving a few mistakes which Universal fixed. In the original cut, toward the end, Judi Dench's human hand is visible, complete with her wedding ring. This was fixed for the re-release.
Continuity mistake: When the Dowager Empress is walking towards the door and says the cinnamon smell is from an oil, her reflection in the mirror exactly matches her movements, including when she turns, when it should show a mirror image. Note the blue sash is on the same side in both. A quick reflection of Anastasia's head just before when she says "I just want to know who I am" has the same problem. After they sit the reflections appears to be right. (01:09:40)
Continuity mistake: After Jack is blown out of the sky and is lying in the graveyard, he has several grey smudges on his face from the explosion. But in the very next shot, a bird's eye view of Jack lying across the angel, the smudges have disappeared. (00:59:10)
Continuity mistake: When Mary reads the measuring tape after measuring herself the message reads up and down (as shown to the audience), but then the camera shows Mary reading it side to side.
Revealing mistake: During the "Outfox the Fox" number when Hawkins "cuts" the copies of himself in half, the copies are obviously all grown men, which then obviously become little people standing on each others' shoulders; it's easy to tell where the cloak hems of the little people on top end. Other mistake: At the very beginning, when the lights rise above the cast you can see they're all equally spaced out and the light has the same brightness for each character. At the end of the song, the camera shoots to the back filming everyone from behind, note Mark, he's crammed in the corner next to Angel with out the same amount of space originally he started with and his light is very dim compared to the seven others. Visible crew/equipment: When Mitchie is at her locker at school, Sierra walks up to her and there is a white chalk marker line on the floor that she promptly steps on to speak to her friend.
Factual error: A poster promoting the July 4th fireworks spectacle includes an illustration of two American flags - each with 50 stars, rather than the 48 stars which they should have at the time. (00:46:40)
Continuity mistake: Look at the scene where Chanel and her mom are putting on face cream. In the wide shot, Chanel only has cream on her chin, cheeks and forehead. Her mom hasn't applied the cream. In the close-up (when her mom says that they might be moving to Paris), there's cream all over their faces.
Deliberate mistake: When the gangs meet in the toilets to set a date for the brawl, the mirror on the left is the only one opaque, most surely to avoid reflections of the filming crew.
Revealing mistake: In the final shot of the film the model makers neglected to include the antenna at the top of the Eiffel Tower, seen previously on the real tower in the establishing shot of Paris. (02:31:20 - 02:37:10)
Visible crew/equipment: During the final song, while they're all at the dinner table, there's a crouching puppeteer with a blonde ponytail next to the rats.
Continuity mistake: When Pinocchio is locked up in the cage of Stromboli, Jiminy goes inside the cage lock, and he hangs his coat and hat on the outside of the lock. In the next shot, they have disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When the doctor on the right walks in the operating room he puts a glove on. A shot later it's off and he's putting it again.
Continuity mistake: The view out the back of the barn door when it's first revealed does not match the same view, just minutes later, in the final shot of the film. (01:55:43 - 01:59:12)
