Question: Was miss Ganush alive when she first attacked Christine, or was that the first manifestation and torment of the Lamia? The attack and it's effects seem highly consistent with what happens to Christine later on, and the frail old lady is just too powerful and durable for someone who dies a day or two later.

Question: How come a high tech ship would be unable to start its engine merely with the reason that the gate is unable to close?
Chosen answer: Its a safety device so the ship doesn't put to sea and ends up flooding the ship. The passenger ferry Herald of Free Enterprise capsized in the port of Zebrugge in 1987, precisely because the doors were not shut properly.
Question: Does anyone know of any technical problems that happened during the shooting of the film, and how they were overcome? If so how do you know about these problems?
Chosen answer: I own a copy of a book, "Behind the Mask of Spider-Man" . It details nearly every aspect of the making of the movie. It'd probably be hard to find in stores now, but websites that sell books may still have it. I know Amazon does.
Question: In the scenes leading up to the shoot-out in the bar, the German Major says that the Captain just gave himself away. I am assuming that he is referring to the fact that the Captain held up three fingers when asking for only three glasses. I don't see how this is a give-away. Can someone please explain?
Chosen answer: It is explained shortly afterwards that a real German would hold up his thumb, index and middle fingers to indicate three. Since, the major already suspects the Captain of being a spy, holding up his index, middle and ring fingers to indicate three confirms this.
Question: In the scene where Beckett, Will, and Jones meet with Elizabeth, Jack, and Barbossa on the island, Elizabeth decides to exchange Will for Jack. Back on the Black Pearl, she tells Barbossa that they need to give Jack a chance. What does she mean by this? Also, why was Barbossa so eager to free Calypso, while Elizabeth and Will were so against it?
Chosen answer: She means for Barbossa to give Jack a chance to locate and retrieve Jones' key and chest aboard the Flying Dutchman. Barbossa is eager to free Calypso because she brought him back from the dead, and he owes her for that; also because only Calypso can keep Beckett from destroying every last pirate in the Caribbean. Elizabeth and Will weren't especially interested in whether or not Calypso was freed. They didn't invest their efforts into the plan because they had plans of their own which working to free Calypso interfered with.
Question: Why can only Samuel Anders, Dreilide Thrace and Hera Agathon hear 'the music'? also, what does the 'music' signify?
Chosen answer: (Extreme spoilers here.) They hear it because they're either Cylons or their destiny has been influenced by the Cylons. The notes are the coordinates to Earth.
Question: In the scene from the wedding why did Luca Brasi "not expect to be invited", considering he is such a loyal comrade of Godfather?
Chosen answer: Because Brasi was such a vicious killer that he terrified everyone. Even Don Corleone became nervous in Brasi's presence, although the Godfather was the only person who could control him. In the book, Brasi was so monstrous and inhumane that he killed a prostitute immediately after she bore his child, then forced the mid-wife who delivered the infant to throw it into a burning furnace while it was still alive. Terrified for her life, the woman went to Don Corleone for protection. He intervened, and kept Brasi out of prison, earning him Brasi's undying loyalty and service. Don Corleone invited Brasi to the wedding only as a courtesy, although he would have preferred not having him there. The Don is also a diplomatic person (eg, always preferring to reason first), so he would have seen inviting Brasi as a good diplomatic move - showing Brasi that the Don truly values him as a "friend" (you invite friends to weddings).
Question: When Klaatu and Professor Barnhardt are writing on the black board together, are they solving something that we just haven't solved yet, and so answering this question is hopeless, or does anybody know what it is they are supposedly solving, it looks to be something to do with an event horizon.
Answer: As in the original 1951 movie, Professor Barnhardt has an equation on the board that suggests (theorizes) that space travel through inter-dimensional universes is possible. Klaatu solves the mathematical equation thereby proving that, not only is it possible, but that's how he got there. This was brought out in the original movie.
Answer: The equation Klaatu finds on the professor's blackboard is real - an in joke for mathematicians: the "Three Body Problem" seeks to account for all possible relationships among three objects in space (Landon 85).
Not to mention, Reeve's chicken scratch on that board reminds me of an 8th grader. Frankly, they should have CGI'd that bit. For anyone whose spent any time actually doing equations on a chalk board, his sophomoric scribble is hard to watch.
Question: When the blonde woman is showing clients a photograph of Whitney and asking if anyone wants to kill her for a cheap price, she shows it to a cannibal guy who is eating a man tied to a table. I just wanted to know if this man being eaten is the same man that Whitney danced with at the festival and then Beth stops her from sleeping with him because she was too drunk. It looks a lot like him, but I wasn't sure because I originally thought he was helping the bad guys get the girls to the factory.
Chosen answer: Yes it was. The actor, Stanislav Lanevski, also plays Viktor Krum in the Harry Potter Movies.
Question: In this film Bond almost dies when he is poisoned and discovers that his portable defibrillator has a broken wire. My question is, has this been the only time in the entire bond series that a Bond gadget has had a fault and not worked properly, or have there been been other instances?
Answer: The defibrillator did not have a fault, due to the fact the Bond nearly falls unconscious he forgot to properly connect both cables to the main device.
Chosen answer: It isn't the first time a Bond gadget didn't work. Most notably, the machine guns mounted on a gyrocopter in You Only Live Twice, and a fake nipple (can't believe I just said that!). It should be noted though that this Bond gadget didn't have a fault, Bond just did not plug the two patches into the Defibrillator, which is what Vesper does when she runs up to the car, thus saving Bond's life.
Answer: In Never Say Never Again, Bond's explosive projectile-shooting pen fires at Fatima Blush, but the projectile that strikes her only explodes after an unexpected delay, leading both her and Bond to assume that it has malfunctioned.
Question: In the beginning scene where the two participants had to cut flesh in order to survive, what was to stop them simply putting other stuff on the scales instead of flesh, such as the heavy tools and knives and escaping that way?
Answer: The tools were chained to the tables, and there wasn't anything else they could've thrown down onto the scales.
Question: Why did Freddy's voice change? At the start of the film when he was chasing Tina, he said, "This is god," but throughout the rest of the film (and the series of the films) his voice went deeper. You have to kind of listen carefully throughout the film to know what I'm talking about.
Answer: The scene you are referring to is a dream sequence. In dreams everything is different and how they change throughout the movie is no mistake.
Question: So in this film, through the flashbacks, we learn a lot about the previous films. However, with all that is known, why does Jigsaw leave Adam in the bathroom and close the door? He says game over - did Adam fail? Is the suffocation by Amanda the punishment for failing?
Answer: It was too late for Adam to solve the game the way he was intended to- the key went down the drain, which Jigsaw actually didn't intend to happen. Adam's key was meant to be tied around his neck in such a way that neither him nor Lawrence would be able to see, and Adam would be allowed to go free and escape if he were to locate the key- which would only be possible if he looked at himself. The whole idea behind his puzzle was "looking at himself instead of others, for a change." The reason it went down the drain instead, was because of Amanda, who continuously made traps unsolvable. Instead of tying it around him like Jigsaw asked, she just tossed it on his chest, which defeated the whole purpose. Also, he was given a saw just as Lawrence was, as a much more violent plan B, another way he could save his own life.
That doesn't make sense because Jigsaw told Adam that the key is in the bathtub at the end of the movie.
Chosen answer: Jigsaw most likely decided to leave Adam in the room in case Gordon didn't shoot him. Adam wasn't the one who failed, it was Gordon. He simply decided to leave him in there, the easy way out. As for his suffocation, Jigsaw already mentions Amanda's emotional side also being her weakness. While Adam was meant to die after a certain amount of time, Amanda's emotions got the best of her and so she decided to mercy kill him.
Answer: Adam didn't just lose because he let the key get drowned. He had the two hacksaws and he broke his own in a hurry. And there was also the toilet lid that he could have used to smash his foot like Eric did in Saw III. Jigsaw never said that improvising or thinking outside the box was against the rules. So even if you wipe the key out of the equation, Adam still has at least two other ways to release himself from the chains.
Answer: Well Jigsaw told Adam that the key to his chains was in the bathtub, without knowing he pulled the plug, drowning the key with it. However, he could have responded instead of trying to shoot Jigsaw. After that, he most likely came to the conclusion that Adam didn't learn his lesson. And Amanda coming back to kill him is most likely a mercy kill, though it's not confirmed.
Question: What is the song on the radio that Ross dedicates to Rachel near the end of the episode 'The One With the List'?
Answer: It's With or Without You by U2.
Question: What is the name of the episode where Frasier becomes the subject of radio pranks?
Chosen answer: 'Radio Wars' - Season 7 episode 3.
Question: Is there any factual basis for the story of the little girl General Jackson befriended? I can't find anything about her, or anything saying she is fictional.
Answer: Yes, she did exist. Through books.google.com, I found a book "Cemeteries of Caroline County, Virginia: Private Cemeteries" by Herbert Ridgeway Collins, that confirms Jane did live, that she and Jackson were close, and that he arranged for her burial after her death.
Question: How exactly did the girls' (sans Dorothy) husbands die?
Chosen answer: Rose's husband Charlie died making love to her. There are at least 3 different ways Blanche's husband George is said to have died: 1. Blanche was getting a pedicure when he was killed. 2. He had a car accident and died. 3. He had been in a coma and died. In theory they could all be combined (he had a car accident, fell into a coma, then died while she was having a pedicure), but that's conjecture. I'm not sure how Sophia's husband Sal died.
The episode where Blanche said her husband was in a car accident, she said she was on the phone with an officer (who was eating potato chips, crunch) who was at the scene of the accident, and the officer said George was hit head on and died.
Answer: According to one episode when Dorothy was sick on the couch and Blanche was trying to get her up, Sophia brings Dorothy a hot toddy to which Dorothy says 'that's an awful lot of whisky.' Sophia says she ran out of whisky awhile ago and this one was vodka and amaretto. She said 'that should kill everything. It killed your father.'
Question: In the scene when Katherine is trying to figure out why the baby has been put on display. The shark suddenly dies and they are not able to save it. I never understood what caused the shark to die. Anybody out there know the answer to that?
Chosen answer: For some unknown reason, it has never been possible to keep a great white shark in captivity for a long period of time. They stop eating and swimming. The longest period was less than half a year and that was in 2007. At the time period of this movie, the record was 11 days.

Answer: Christine didn't get cursed until the end of that fight, so it could not have been the first attack from the Lamia.
