Continuity: The drill that Lynn uses on Jigsaw's skull has a white piece of tape on the end of the drill bit a short distance from the end, presumably to mark the thickness of his skull so she knows where to stop. In one shot (during the drilling scene) the piece of tape moves a good two inches farther up on the drill bit, but it's back down in the very next shot. Submitted by Nick Bylsma
Continuity: The tear in Jeff's face (after he gets stuck to the refrigeration machine) continually changes throughout the movie. It goes from oozing and bloody, to clean and almost normal looking several different times. There's no blood on his bathrobe, so he didn't wipe it off that way. That's a big enough tear to bleed a decent amount, so we'd see the blood if he wiped it off. Submitted by Nick Bylsma
Continuity: When Matthews is smashing his foot with the toilet bowl lid, he probably hits his foot a good six or seven times, and one of the times he also glances against the flashlight and it rolls a bit to the side. The next time you see the flashlight it's pointed right back at his foot like it was in the previous shots. (He was still pounding away on his foot, so he didn't stop and realign it or anything.) Submitted by Nick Bylsma
Continuity: Lynn is in the corner of the room when Amanda is threatening her with the gun. The shot moves to behind Amanda when she raises her hand to her head and now all of a sudden Lynn is a good 4 or 5 feet to her right. (instant cut, not enough time to move). Submitted by Nick Bylsma
Continuity: The placement of the flashlight (or foot) moves between shots of Detective Matthews contemplating sawing through his leg. In one shot the flashlight is illuminating the ball of his foot, in the next it's pointed past his foot, then in the next shot it's shining right on his heel. Matthews isn't moving either, he sitting right there with the saw on his leg, crying and contemplating all the pain that he's about to inflict on himself. Submitted by Nick Bylsma
Continuity: When Jigsaw says "You're already dead on the inside", the oxygen mask is resting on his chest. In the next shot he is holding the mask. Submitted by Mortug
Continuity: Jeff lays his bloodied hand right in the center of Jigsaw's chest (pointing towards Jigsaw's chin) when he says "I forgive you", but pretty much only his fingertips touch Jigsaw. Right before Jeff slices Jigsaw's neck you can see the handprint, but it's MUCH more defined than it should be AND the fingers are pointing towards the right instead of straight up. Submitted by Nick Bylsma
Continuity: When Amanda says "I'm standing right here" her hair is hanging down, but brushed back from her right eye, in the previous and subsequent shots her hair is hanging down and covering her right eye. She was holding the gun in her right hand the whole time and all the cuts were instant, there was no time to move her hair. Submitted by Nick Bylsma
Continuity: When Lynn says "Please, please let me go" there are tears in both eyes and tear marks on her cheeks. 2 shots later (maybe 7 seconds) you see a close-up of her face and there are no tears or tear marks. (Jigsaw was holding her hand, so she couldn't have wiped them away, plus you can see Lynn the whole time (in the background) and she never wipes them off). Submitted by Nick Bylsma
Continuity: When Jeff leans down to Lynn you can see she she has some blood on her chin and neck. The shot goes to Jigsaw, then back to Lynn and Jeff. Now her neck and chin have no blood. Shot moves to Jigsaw again, then back to Jeff and Lynn. Now she has blood on her neck and chin *and* blood from the corner of her mouth. Submitted by Nick Bylsma
Continuity: Amanda's holding the gun in her right hand in every scene when she's arguing with Jigsaw, except when she's saying "It's all BS," then the gun is in her left hand. It's back in her right hand then very next scene (all instant cuts, no time to switch hands). Submitted by Nick Bylsma
Continuity: The blood spots on Jigsaw's hospital bed disappear during shots of him telling Amanda to let Lynn go, and they reappear in later scenes. Submitted by Nick Bylsma
Continuity: Amanda's hair is in a lose ponytail when she sees Jigsaw holding Lynn's hand. A large part of her hair is hanging down the right side of her face and in her eye. She storms out of the room and now all of a sudden her hair is all pulled back in a tight ponytail and no hair is hanging down or behind her ear, it's all back in the ponytail (instant cut, no time for her to re-do her hair). Submitted by Nick Bylsma
Continuity: The green tube that's connected to Jigsaw is gone when he says "Suffering? You haven't seen anything yet", but it was there in the previous scene and it's back the next time you see him. Submitted by Nick Bylsma
Continuity: Right before Lynn says "I don't know what you know, but my marriage has survived more suffering that you could possibly imagine" her hair is all pulled back behind her ear. As she's saying that line you can now see that a noticeable amount is hanging on the side of her face and across her ear. Submitted by Nick Bylsma
Continuity: After Lynn looks for pills she runs back over and tells Amanda "Back off, back off", then takes off Jigsaw's oxygen mask and puts her hand on his face to keep his head to the side and you can see two drops of blood on her hand. The shot cuts to a closeup of Jigsaw and now there is no blood on her hand. Submitted by Nick Bylsma
Continuity: There's a shot of the right foot when "The Rack" starts twisting it. There is a blood trail that runs off between his first 2 toes, and a lesser one that runs off between his 2nd and 3rd toes. The screen cuts to a close-up of the foot and there's only the blood trail that runs off between the first 2 toes. Submitted by Nick Bylsma
Continuity: When Jeff is screaming at the guy in "The Rack" there are a few spinning shots of "The Rack". You can see that the guy's arms aren't broken, even though you've seen them both be twisted until they snapped. (Slo-mo helps but is NOT required). Submitted by Nick Bylsma
