Deuce Bigalow (1999)

Corrected entry: Deuce tells Antoine that his saltwater fish which he calls a Chinese Tailbar Lionfish (it's actually just a common red lionfish) has "Malawi Bloat" which is impossible, Malawi bloat is an illness that affects African cichlids and is usually due to improper diet or parasites, not a gill disorder.

Correction: This comes down to a character mistake. Deuce's "credentials" on aquatic sealife is never revealed in the film. Deuce is not a vet and being that we only know he has an affection for fish its possible he has no idea what he is going on about or even what type of fish it is.

Corrected entry: When Matt Damon is picked up by the Zurich police as he sleeps on a park bench, the officers address him in German with Swiss accents. This is very different to the actual Swiss dialect used in Switzerland. German is only used when talking to Foreigners or Swiss from the French or Italian parts of the country. At this point the officers do not know that Matt Damon is American.

Correction: There is no set dialect that the officers must or have to use. It's presumptuous to say they wouldn't use a particular accent. Even if they only used German with Swiss accents for foreigners, the officers ask him for his papers when they wake him up, so they likely then knew he was a foreigner and not a local.

Lummie

The mistake wasn't complaining about the accent. He was talking about the dialect that they use. These are two different things.

The Truman Show (1998)

Corrected entry: When Christof touches the huge screen with the image of Truman sleeping, his hand casts a shadow. However, the only light source in the control room is the screen itself. This reveals that the scene was composited using a blue screen.

rabid anarchist

Correction: The screen is not the only light source in the room. There is actually plenty of light in the room. You can even see a bit of light reflecting off Christof's head. In the wide shot of the control room you can see the light for the musician and light illuminating the walls.

Corrected entry: When the messengers ride out of the factory to put the posters out in the town, their motorbikes create the only tracks visible in the snow. It's not snowing that heavily, and it's not that late at night - so where are all the tire tracks? (You can see later in the film when Charlie, Wonka and Grandpa Joe are flying back to the Bucket household that it is quite an active town and that there would be plenty of tire tracks left from the day's traffic.).

Correction: It is far too presumptuous to say it's not that late or it hadn't been snowing before the messengers etc. Just because there was a bit of traffic in the day doesn't mean there would be a large number of tyre marks in the snow at night. We are only shown a few streets and there is nothing to prove that cars or vehicles were driving at night and in that part of town. We don't know what time it is so it's impossible to say cars were driving around and we don't know how much snow has been falling up to that point.

A Bug's Life (1998)

Corrected entry: How did Dot know where to find Flik and the circus bugs after they left the island? She didn't know where they were going, and never had set foot off Ant Island before.

Correction: We don't know how long Dot was looking, and since she was able to fly, she would be able to canvas the area a lot quicker and easier. We also see that the circus bugs vehicle was extremely slow, so there wasn't a large area for Dot to search.

Lummie

Correction: Furthermore, she could have followed tracks and scent starting where she last saw Flik and the Caravan.

Mean Girls (2004)

Corrected entry: Wouldn't someone recognize Regina's handwriting? Surely at least a teacher would recognize Regina's handwriting after a whole year, or a student would recognize it.

Correction: Regina's handwriting wasn't so distinct that someone would instantly recognise it. The color or the style wasn't something that would immediately alert them to it being Regina. A teacher may recognise it, but with the large number of students unless they were paying special attention to everyone's individual style, then there is no way to say with certainity someone would have been able to tell it was Regina's.

Road Trip (2000)

Corrected entry: At the end, when Kyle's dad arrives, E.L. is standing next to Ruben. Soon afterwards, without anyone moving, he is standing over by Josh.

Correction: There is a long period in that scene that we don't see E.L. and so he had plenty of time to move over to where Josh was. It wasn't an instant change.

The Truman Show (1998)

Corrected entry: When Truman is in his office for the first time, calling Fiji directory assistance, there is a "magic eight ball" on his desk. If you look closely into it you can see a reflection/shadow of a cameraman.

Correction: I've looked through this scene and zoomed in on the magic eight ball and I cannot see any reflection/shadow of a cameraman.

Lummie

Correction: The scene is primarily just a collection of quick cuts and in turn we only see a bit of whats going on. We just don't see them paying, but in many of the shots of Spongebob in the kitchen they could have given the money to Krabs. Before Spongebob returned to the restaurant they might have even paid the money and was the reason they were getting so restless.

Futurama (1999)

Correction: Because the amount of fat would be a bit like a large pillow. When we see him on the stage he has gained a vast amount of weight and because of the extra weight it has expanded all around including below him. In any case its perception that he is twice as large in height. The position of the stage and the large amount of weight makes him look much larger.

Fear of a Bot Planet - S1-E5

Corrected entry: In the scene with the judge, while he is "judging", he crashes. You can see that the judge is a Macintosh, running MacOS, yet one of the robots in the audience suggests pressing ctrl + alt + delete to fix him - this would only work if he was a PC, and not a Mac.

Correction: Character mistake, the ctrl alt delete is a common technique most computer users use to restart computers and many wouldn't consider the fact that its not useable on a MAC only on a PC.

Hero (2002)

Corrected entry: After Sky uncovers his spear and begins fighting with Nameless, you see the old man covering up his musical instrument with a cloth before getting up and leaving. But when Nameless stops and asks him to play another tune, you see that the instrument is no longer covered when he puts it back on his knees. (00:11:30 - 00:12:15)

Correction: That's because there is a time lapse between Nameless putting the metal objects in his bowl and the old man getting read to play his instrument. You can tell this because the old man is sitting down when he was standing before and was also holding a bowl.

Corrected entry: Jamie tells his dad that batteries aren't included with Turbo Man. But when his dad gets the German version from the mall Santa, the toy speaks immediately when the button is pressed.

Correction: Character mistake, even if he was correct it makes it a mistake on the manufacturers not on the film makers. Also, some toys are purposely packaged with weak cheap batteries that only have enough power to run the demo functions but won't run the full functionality.

Lummie

Correction: Not enough information to be able to make an accurate comparison. Plus how can you be even sure its the same character?

Goodfellas (1990)

Corrected entry: Although they are not really mistakes, these glitches were allowed to be put in the film: When Henry takes Karen on their first date to the club, he pays the door man at the side entrance at the club to let him in. If you look closely, the door man has to reach twice to take the cash from Henry. Then, when they are walking through the kitchen, Henry walks into one of the counters and bangs his hip.

Correction: As you mention they are not mistakes. Grabbing for the tip and missing it, plus Henry banging into one of the counters is just human error not a film mistake.

Goodfellas (1990)

Corrected entry: During the scene where the crew is having a barbeque and Henry is describing how they were like cops for bad guys, the camera keeps going back and forth to Paulie eating a sandwich. The first two times he has no napkin anywhere in sight, the last shot of him one appears neatly tucked into his shirt, like a bib.

Correction: If you look closely you can see he is holding a napkin in his left hand when we first see him. With the napkin appearing, between the time we can actually see what's on his shirt and the napkin being there, about 30-40 seconds of film time passes. In that time he easily could have gotten another napkin given to him or used the one he had to put on.

Goodfellas (1990)

Corrected entry: When Jimmy is in the bar with Henry asking to go for a walk, he has a very distinctive tie on. Once outside, Jimmy asks Henry if "Morey tell his wife everything". Although they have just walked outside, Jimmy has a different tie on.

Correction: The shot where they are walking is immediately after the bar scene, but Jimmy never makes any mention of going for a walk, neither is there anything to suggest they have just left the bar. Jimmy's jacket has also changed in this scene, which means it's more likely that the scene does not take place after leaving the bar.

Goodfellas (1990)

Corrected entry: When Henry throws Karen off the bed after she has pointed the gun at him and he points the gun at her in one shot she has both shoes on and in the other the foot nearest the camera has no shoe then again in a split second the foot has a shoe.

Correction: I've looked through the scene and she has her shoes on the entire time including when she falls off the bed.

Goodfellas (1990)

Corrected entry: When Pauly and Jimmy go to meet Henry at Janice's apartment (his mistress), Henry offers them a drink which they refuse. This is a good thing considering that the Crown Royal bottle that can clearly be seen on a table behind Pauly's head is empty. The glasses around the empty bottle suggest that the table is used as a mini bar.

Correction: How is this a mistake? He only offers them a drink, and is out of one type of drink that we can see. Even if they had wanted that, he might have had more somewhere else in the apartment.

Resident Evil (2002)

Corrected entry: The worker who gets coffee spilled on him says "thank you" differently during Spence's Flashback.

Correction: Spence is not going to remember it exactly as it happened. Like in any flashback, you won't remember every detail exactly as it was.
