Goodfellas (1990)

Corrected entry: When Henry picks Karen up for their first date, he is dressed in a grey and black checked jacket and she is wearing a summer dress. When they arrive at the nightclub, she is dressed in a black evening dress and he is in a dark suit.

Correction: While they are in different clothes from when Henry picks up Karen, there is nothing indicating the scene is a continuation from that first date. Most likely the large change would indicate it was taking place at a different time.

Goodfellas (1990)

Corrected entry: In the scene where the letter carrier is getting his head put right into the hot oven, notice that he grabs the inside of the oven door with his left hand. The oven must have been off, or it would have burned his left hand.

Joe Campbell

Correction: There is nothing to indicate that the oven was on to begin with (i.e. There are no elements seen in the oven that are on) or any evidence that it had been on beforehand.

Lummie

Actually, isn't that a pizza that we see in the oven? The oven is likely on... But regardless, the scene freezes the frame not even a full second after his hand touches the oven door. Had the scene gone on, he likely would have pulled his hand away in pain (we do hear him make a small shriek when it happens).

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: Looking at the shot inside the church there is nothing to indicate that this is the local church that most the townspeople go to. Everything about the church is different from the local church including the walls (which are blue not purple) and the glass paned windows. Being also there is no familiar faces in the church its more likely that this is a different church.

Family Guy (1999)

Love Thy Trophy - S2-E5

Corrected entry: Peter invites all the neighbors to his house, supposedly for tea. During the meeting, Peter excuses himself to ransack the other homes for the trophy. After the meeting, Peter, Lois and Chris are shown walking back to their own house, which was also ransacked.

Correction: There is nothing to indicate that this scene took place immediately after Peter ransacked all the other houses. All we see is that they are walking back into their house and the fact that someone ransacked their house (which couldn't have been Peter), would mean that one of the neighbours had the same idea as Peter and waited until they left to look through their house.

A Bug's Life (1998)

Corrected entry: The first time we visit the circus, watch the one-spider band. He is only playing one trombone-like instrument, but the music he produces sounds like a brass choir. I didn't know that playing one straw could make that nice of a sound.

Correction: Its fairly obvious that it wouldn't produce the same type of sounds but the film takes some artistic license.

A Bug's Life (1998)

Corrected entry: This is actually a mistake for the Pixar short flik Jerri's Game, but as this is included in the A Bug's Life video, this is a good place to list it. Jerri (with glasses) knocks off the box of chess pieces after faking a heart attack, but when the camera pulls back at the end of the flik, you can see there is no chess box on the ground.

Correction: The short film is not part of the Bug's Life film and therefore cannot be considered a mistake on their part.

Training Day (2001)

Corrected entry: Denzel takes Ethan to see the 3 wise men to get a search warrant. Near the end of the conversation Denzel asks the wise men who's driving and the guy by the window says me. Denzel asks what he's driving - he says red Mercedes. Then Denzel proceeds to walk by the red car and opens the trunk of a white car and puts the money in it. It's the wrong car.

Correction: The guy actually says grey Mercedes and Denzel puts the money in the trunk of a grey Mercedes.

Rounders (1998)

Corrected entry: In the final card hand between Teddy KGB and Mike, Teddy lays down an ace and goes "all in," commenting menacingly to Mike that "Your fate is sitting right beside you," implying that loan shark Grama is waiting to break a few bones once Mike cannot pay off the debt he inherited from Worm. But if you look at the table, Mike has at least three times the number of chips that Teddy has, even more than when Mike won the $10,000 from Teddy earlier. Mike does not have to go "all in" (which he does), but merely call the bet. Even if he were to lose that hand, he would still have more chips than Teddy, enough to pay Grama off. You would think Teddy would know that, since the chips are right there on the table. His comment that Mike will not be able to pay Grama doesn't make any sense, although it does heighten the drama.

Correction: Even if this was a mistake, it's a character mistake on Teddy's part. Whether or not he realised that he had more is not a movie mistake. Besides, what Teddy was doing was more likely deliberate to try to put Mike off. Teddy knew that he had beaten Mike before, and it came from Mike being too overconfident and not betting wisely. If Mike bet large and lost, Teddy would probably get all his money back instead of losing a large amount of it.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Michael Moore calls out to Charlton Heston, asking him to look at the picture of the little girl, the camera angle switches around from his back to his front while he is calling out to Heston, which he doesn't respond to, making Heston seem like he is avoiding the issue. The only problem with that is that you can't see the cameraman in the front from the back, which you would have to for the shot to be taken. The only way in which the cameraman wouldn't be seen is if it is the same cameraman, taking a shot of his back, then walking around and taking the shot again from the front. Given that cut, we can't even be sure Charlton Heston was remotely within earshot.

Correction: Granted Moore would have had to film his reaction later and would have been likely after Heston left, however there is nothing wrong with filming reaction shots at a later time. Heston was still close enough to Moore to hear what he said at that moment and decided to not engage Moore anymore. As evidenced in the interview he had, he knew it was going nowhere. It was better that he end the interview then and there, and not answer any more of Moore's questions. Unless there is some change in the continuity of the shots to show Moore has altered the scene to his advantage it cannot be considered a mistake.

Batman Forever (1995)

Corrected entry: When Edward visits Two-Face: Edward enters, introduces himself, endures Two-Face's threat, then goes to demonstrate his "box". Ed walks forward (toward the camera), and picks up two of his "boxes" from a table in Two-Face's apartment. How'd they get there? Ed hadn't started selling them yet, so there is no real explanation as to why the "boxes" would already be in the apartment.

Correction: This mistake has already been corrected, essentially if he could break in to two-face's lair he could have brought the "boxes" there earlier.

Election (1999)

Corrected entry: In the final scene, when Mr. McAlister is describing the one time he has seen Tracy Flick since he left Omaha, he is in Washington, DC. He says he was visiting monuments and was "on his way to the Holocaust Museum." But he is walking north from the White House, up 16th Street. In reality, to be heading for the Holocaust Museum he'd have to be heading south from the White House down 14th Street.

Correction: In the film it's not known really how long McAlister has been in Washington or how well he knows the city. McAlister could have simply not known that route was the way to get there. Even if he did he may have decided to do a few things before heading to the museum.

Homer vs. Lisa and the 8th Commandment - S2-E13

Corrected entry: When Homer is browsing the channels he says "seen it" to all of them. One of them is a non-violent Itchy & Scratchy episode as seen in "Itchy & Scratchy & Marge" (we don't see it but we can hear it). One says "Lemonade", and then Itchy (I think) instantly says "Please". But when you see the episode in "Itchy & Scratchy & Marge" there is a short break between their sayings. This was done on purpose to reduce time.

OL1V3R666

Correction: Like any television show, its prone to small edits by the network showing it to save time. Also since we don't see enough (or hear enough) of it we don't know they were showing the entire cartoon. It may have been a quick clip of the show like they do for news clips or tv ads.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: Thats not a mistake, its just an example of how poorly run the mayor's office is. It could also be that the mayor's decision wouldn't go down well with the townspeople (as evidenced with the Simpsons). Keeping it secret until the law was passed would make it harder to have reversed.

Batman Forever (1995)

Corrected entry: When Chase summons Batman with the Bat-Signal: she tells Batman that she pinpointed a weakness of Two-Face: his coin. How could the good doctor know about that? Unless she talked to the guard, which is probable, but not in the movie, there is no way she could know about Two-Face's coin.

Correction: What's to say that this was the first time he used the coin? The coin was very important to Two-face to make his desicions. Being an villain, and performing in villain related activities it would start to become known that he used an coin. Chase likely would have heard from witnesses or reports about the coin and put two and two together.

Lummie

Corrected entry: The priest tells Frankie; "I have seen you come to church for 35 years and I don't know why". First Catholic priests are not ordained younger than about 25 years old, that plus the 35 years this Priest has seen Frankie come to church should make him about 60 years old at least. Also in the US priests move from one Parish to another every two to three years or 7 if he is a Pastor.

Correction: The priest actually says 23 years so it does fit within the context of the film. More importantly he only says he has seen him there for the past 23 years, not that he has seen him as a priest for the past 23 years. One could assume before he became a priest he would see Frankie in church for the time before that.
