The Waterboy (1998)

Corrected entry: When Bobby is studying for his exam, his mom finds out he is playing football and going to school. She says he will fail the exam but Bobby never told her about the exam.

Correction: Bobby's mother knows he is going to school not playing football. Being that he was studying she knew it was likely he had a big exam coming up.

Ali G in Da House (2002)

Corrected entry: When the Staines ganxtaz meet up before the video tape mission, the main characters wear normal camouflage. In all next scenes (at the mansion where they go directly) they wear coloured camouflage.

Correction: After Ali gives his speech the shot goes directly to all the cars driving along and the next time we see them they arrive at the mansion so they could have changed before they left. Between the time we see Ali giving his speech and all the cars we don't know how much time there was, so it's impossible to say they couldn't have changed clothes.

Donnie Darko (2001)

Corrected entry: In the scene at the end where they take Donnie's body to the ambulance, under the white sheet he's got shoes on. But if he was in bed asleep, shouldn't he be barefoot?

Correction: Looking through the scenes there is no way to see whether he was wearing shoes at the end, so it's just an assumption that he went to bed without his shoes. It's also hard to even confirm whether he was wearing shoes when he was being wheeled away at the end.

Meet the Parents (2000)

Corrected entry: When Kevin is about to show Pam and Greg the wedding altar he made, he pulls a tarp off and states that he just put a fresh coat of lacquer on it that morning. With the wedding coming up, why would he cover it with a tarp and prevent it from drying properly? The tarp couldn't really be for secrecy's sake, as it's doubtful anyone would've gone into that room anyway without Kevin guiding them there. (00:56:20)

Correction: Just because Kevin doesn't do what the submitter would do is not a mistake. Kevin knew that the family was coming over so the fresh coat he put on could have been much earlier in the day and had plenty of time to dry, plus we don't know whether he did the whole altar or just a small section. As for why he put the tarp on there is two explanations. He wanted to make it a surprise as he asks Pam, Greg and Jack to come and have a look at something. Or the other explanation was he put the tarp on to cover it from dust.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: Burns is more weak when it comes to strength, i.e. lifting or moving items even ones that are particularly light. Something like walking and dancing is not as much of a problem. He also has danced before. In the episode "Hunka Hunka Burns in Love" he managed to dance (with some assistance from an oxygen tank in his jacket pocket).

Thirteen (2003)

Corrected entry: Throughout the movie if you pay attention you can see that the camera is getting more and more out of focus (the best scene to see this is when Tracy goes to the bathroom in school and just looks in the mirror to "see what she has become"). This is suppose to be symbolic because the worse that Tracy gets the more out of focus the camera is, making lots of scenes a little blurry.

Correction: Not really trivia. Directors use many techniques to express emotions or moods. For example using dark lighting to express moods, jerky movement to show the character might be under drug or alcholic influence etc.

Corrected entry: Woogie asks Ted if he's ever been in love, and when Ted brings up Mary Woogie says "Not Mary again." If Ted has talked about his feelings for Mary that much, why would Woogie ask him if he's ever been in love?

Correction: Woogie was more questioning whether Ted had ever been in a real relationship. Whilst Ted was "in love" with Mary it appeared to be more of an infatuation to those who knew Ted as he had not seen Mary in such a long time and only spoke of her.

Hotel Rwanda (2004)

Corrected entry: A Canadian military officer would always address his lieutenants as 'left-enants' and never as 'lew-tenants' as Nolte does throughout the movie. The Canadian Armed Forces has maintained the British pronunciation of that military rank.

Correction: While "left-enants" is the correct pronunciation in the Canadian military there is nothing wrong with using an different pronunciation. Either he knew he was making an mistake and didn't care or simply forgot about saying it correctly. Nolte's character was in charge of the UN convoy and I doubt anyone was going to correct an superior especially with how bad the situation around them was.

Stuck On You (2003)

Corrected entry: When the twins are on the way to the hospital and Morty appears on his scooter, you can see the smoke of the cigar going upwards while it should be going backwards because of the speed.

Malaver

Correction: Some of it does go backward. Most of the rest goes forward and up a little. The reason would be that the scooter is going so slow there is not enough wind resistance to push the smoke back.

Stuck On You (2003)

Corrected entry: When the boys first lay out the buns on the "tester" at the beginning of the film they put down 4 columns of 3 buns each. When the scene shifts back to them the have 3 columns of 4 buns each. (00:03:25)

Joel Gordon

Correction: After we see them lay down 4 columns of 3 buns each there is about 45 seconds or so before we see the buns again. More than enough time to change the order of them.

A Mighty Wind (2003)

Corrected entry: During the interview with Mitch and Mickey, Mickey's hair is somewhat fluffy and unkempt in her closeup, but smooth and neat in the wide shot.

Krista

Correction: I've looked through the scene and there appears to be little to no difference between the shots.

A Mighty Wind (2003)

Corrected entry: In the scene where the New Main Street Singers are performing their second song at the reunion show, during the first close-up, Terry Bohner (Higgins) is standing behind Sissy Knox (Posey); upon the second close-up, he is standing behind his wife, Laurie (Lynch).

Robin Iredale

Correction: The change isn't between shots it's between scenes. Whilst performing the second song the scene changes to the Folksmen and after about 20 seconds of screen time it goes back to the New Main Street singers. More than enough time for Terry to change positions.

Lummie

Corrected entry: In the scene where Chuck and Penny drive to their new house, Chuck throws the 'For Sale' sign into the grass where it sticks in and wobbles. As the scene cuts back to itself repeatedly, the amount of wobble on the board changes. One minute it is slowing to a stop, the next minute it is wobbling fast again.

Correction: I've watched this scene and the sign does not wobble faster during the scene. The sign shakes a small bit but is almost not even noticeable. The small shake could be attributed to the wind as you can see the leaves on the tree shaking.

Phone Booth (2002)

Corrected entry: In the end the sniper walks right up to the ambulance truck Stu is in and starts talking to him. After a thing like that the police wouldn't just let anyone walk around the crime scene and near the victim.

Correction: Thats purely argumentative and in any case a character mistake on the police. The police believed the pizza delivery man was the sniper so there wasn't much point in getting an officer to watch Stu to protect him whilst in the ambulance. As for walking near the crime scene, the police might have not noticed the man or couldn't care less. The sniper only walked near the phone booth and being that it was a busy public street they might have just decided to ignore it or let it slide.

The Simpsons (1989)

HOMR - S12-E9

Corrected entry: In this episode Dr. Hibbert says the crayon was never spotted because he always covered it with his thumb, but in episode 4-18, "So It's Come to This: A Simpson's Clip Show", when Homer is in the hospital, his head X-ray is placed up on the light box on the wall, and is visible with nothing blocking it, so the crayon should have been spotted then.

Correction: The joke in the scene is that there really is no way to explain why or how he would miss a large crayon in Homer's brain after all these years, numerous injuries and many x-rays. Even if he should have seen it, its a character mistake. As you pointed out there was no way he should have missed it but either he really did miss it everytime or is lying to cover up his mistake.

Lummie

Corrected entry: When Marilyn is talking poolside with her friend Sarah, the "ice" in their drinks is on the bottom of their glasses, not floating.

Correction: You can do this if there is enough ice and the glass is cold enough. For example, I generally like to chill my glass so I put the ice in a glass and put the glass in the freezer. A few minutes later when I put my drink in the glass the ice will remain almost stuck to the bottom and takes quite a while to float back to the surface.

Stuck On You (2003)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Cher takes a break during filming, she hands a bottle to her personal assistant. The bottle changes from Pepsi, to mineral water, to Pepsi.

Correction: While the assistant does alternate between Pepsi and mineral water, that isn't a mistake. It just means that she is carrying two bottles. The scene where she does this is just one shot meaning there would be two bottles there anyway. With how volatile Cher was and the assistant constantly trying to please her, it makes sense she would bring around two drinks for her.

The Simpsons (1989)

Black Widower - S3-E21

Corrected entry: When Selma is in the bath with a cigarette, she sinks under the water dragging the cigarette with her. However, if you look and listen very closely, the sound of the cigarette being extinguished happens very slightly before it actually makes contact with the water.

Correction: In the shot as she is just about to go under the water, you can see the cigarette start to glow a bit redder. This would mean Selma is inhaling as she is going under the water. As she would be inhaling, a small area below the lit area would start to get hotter and so would make sense that the sound of it being extinguished just a split second before the lit area goes under the water.

Lummie

Corrected entry: Freeze says that the Ice Age killed the dinosaurs. Of course this is untrue, but done to show how mad Freeze has become.

Correction: In addition to Lummie's entry, given that Victor Fries/Mr. Freeze has a degree/doctorate in cryogenics and medicinal research it is understood with his educational background he would have known full well that the Ice Age arrived way after the dinosaurs were already extinct; he was simply expressing some black comedy as the icy villain that he is.

joshtrivia

Correction: Freeze could have believed that the Ice age did kill the dinosaurs. Even if he did knew that if it wasn't the ice age that killed the dinosaurs this comes down to a character mistake not a film mistake.

Lummie

Corrected entry: When Andy crawls through the pipe he has the warden's clothes in a bag attached to his feet. When he emerges from the other end of the pipe, wades through the stream and pulls his clothes off there is no sign of the bag.

Correction: The bag is there when he comes out of the pipe and it is being dragged behind him the entire time in this scene.
