Continuity mistake: In the opening scene when the informant is about to cut into his eye they show a close up of the knife just centimeters away from his eye ball. There is minimal blood only in his eye but nowhere else, where in the cut before it the whole area around the eye is covered in blood. (00:03:30)

Continuity mistake: When Emmanuelle Vaugier walks into the room with the clear box trap hanging from the ceiling, in the middle of the two hand openings is a syringe with the antidote. It is filled with significantly more in the close up shots, than there is in the full shots which show a lot less in the syringe. (01:06:00)

Continuity mistake: In the very beginning of Saw 2 when the informant awakes and realizes where he is and suddenly gets up from the chair there is a brief shot of him from the rear. If you look closely the leather waistband for the trap is completely loose, but when the camera quickly switches to his front, it shows the leather waist band tight around his waist. (00:01:20)

Revealing mistake: When Lynn is inspecting the "reverse bear trap", the trap Amanda was placed in for the first movie, you can see a small orange light reflecting off a few surfaces, like Lynn's arm and the nearby table. This is the brightness level auto-adjustment light that is present on many handheld cameras, which the cameraman apparently forgot to cover or turn off. (00:47:20)

Continuity mistake: When Alison gets the gun from Zep and aims it at him, the gun is in her left hand. In the next shot it's in her right hand, and then it moves back to her left hand again. This is not an artifact of changing camera angles, you can clearly see the different hands holding the gun. (01:20:30)

Continuity mistake: When Shaun and Ed repeatedly hit the two zombies in the back garden, no blood appears on the cricket bat or shovel, however it does splatter onto their shirts. (00:33:20)

Trivia: In the room with the razor blade box, if you look at the top of the frame, you can see a lock with a key in it. If the actress walked a few feet further, she could've unlocked the box and gotten the syringe. Obviously this would've defeated the purpose of her dying, but interesting to point out. Confirmed in DVD special features. (01:06:00)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where. Lawrence and Adam find the 'X' on the wall, there is a continuity error. Right after they find the 'X', the lights are turned on and there is the shape of a square on the wall (the cavity where the box is hidden). Before they find the 'X' there is no box or any dirty lines where the cavity is. (00:54:00)

Continuity mistake: When Larry looks at the picture with Zep at the window, from one angle the picture is all crumpled but in the first person view, it's smooth. This changes several times. (01:18:40)

Continuity mistake: When the victims first find the saws and are vigorously trying to cut the chains: The wide angle of Larry sawing, shows him cutting at the chain. Close up he is cutting the padlock. (00:14:20)

Continuity mistake: When Alan and the kids are about to climb the fence, when he throws a stick at the fence, his hair is messed up, it is sunny and windy. In the next scene his hair is perfectly fixed and it is shady, and it is not windy. (01:36:10)

Continuity mistake: When Adam pounds on Zep with the toilet seat, he grabs his shoulder in pain. In the first shot of him holding his shoulder, his hand is soaked in blood. In the second shot, however, his hand is much cleaner. (01:30:25)

Continuity mistake: When Dr Gordon is going crazy, he throws the box to his right, but in the next shot it's on the left, then on the right again. (01:25:50)

Revealing mistake: After Dr. Lawrence cuts off his leg and is crawling towards the gun, if you look at his dismembered leg, you can make out the shape of his foot hidden beneath his ripped up slacks. (01:29:30)

Continuity mistake: When Basil is driving home the second time, he is turning into a street where a van is parked. When he turns the street is dry. In the next scene where he is backing away from the van, the street is all wet.
