Continuity mistake: In the scene where Stifler is chasing Finch down the stairs at Stifler's party, Jim separates them both while holding a cup in his right hand, which he switches to his left, then in the next shot from a different angle it is back in his right hand. (00:14:30)

Continuity mistake: When the boys are sitting in the living room talking about how they have to "do it" before graduation, one of the boys sitting on the couch has his legs crossed, then they uncross, cross,and uncross. They keep changing positions. (00:19:07)

Visible crew/equipment: When Finch is running to the toilet, a microphone wire is visible trailing down the inside of his shirt. This is pointed out in the DVD commentary. (00:58:15)

Continuity mistake: When they are looking at flowers, Michelle's mother picks up some flowers and says, "Sahara and desert rose for your bridesmaid's bouquet," you can see one of the flowers change color in the following shot. (00:35:10)

Continuity mistake: After Jim's dad walks in on Jim having goodbye sex with the blonde girl. After he has scrambled back onto the bed sometimes his legs are on top of the sheet - sometimes they are under it as the camera angle moves. (00:03:27)

Continuity mistake: When the boys are packing the pick-up to go away, Jim puts a backpack on the rest of the luggage in the middle. Next shot it is at the side of track. No-one had time to move it. (00:22:10)

Visible crew/equipment: When the guys arrive at the beach house, there is a shot of the pick up going by the house. If you look, you can see the film crew reflected in the paintwork of the blue pickup. (00:23:50)

Continuity mistake: In the dog sex scene, the little white dog is on Jim's leg. The camera cuts and now it's gone. (00:11:10)

Other mistake: When Sophie is babysitting her sister's kids, they show her playing a dance game. In one shot of the TV, you can see there is no arrows going up but she is still dancing. (00:17:30)

Continuity mistake: When Sophie is in the lady's room and Alex has her change her clothes so she can confront her ex-boyfriend in style, her hair changes dramatically from shot to shot, from being smooth and fairly neat to being frizzed out and messy, and then smoother again. At no time does she actually brush or comb it. (00:47:30)

Continuity mistake: When Alex is preforming at the amusement park there is a shot from behind Sophie putting her sunglasses up and bringing her hand down. The camera then switches to the front of Sophie and she brings her hand down again. (00:57:35)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Alex is singing the duet with Cora, there are numerous occasions where the positions of Alex's hands don't match from shot to shot. For instance, in one shot he'll have both hands on the microphone, then in the next it's only one, then back again in the next. (01:31:40)

Continuity mistake: When Alex and Sophie are celebrating after Cora liked the song. In one shot Sophie is being hugged. In the next shot she is standing perfectly still on her own. (00:43:50)

Continuity mistake: In the scene in the coffee shop, when they show the shot over his shoulder, Hugh Grant's muffin starts off just sitting on the table, then it's shown sitting on a plate off and on for the rest of the scene. (00:32:30)

Continuity mistake: When Alex and Sophie are in the coffee shop Sophie picks up her drink and slides her muffin to the right side of her glass. The next shots showing the scene from her left side show the muffin is back on the left side of her glass. (00:33:20)

Continuity mistake: When Brad Garrett goes to Hugh Grant's apartment, he sets down a Diet Coke so that the camera can see it perfectly. In the next scene, the can is turned but Brad never picked it up to drink from it and place it back down. (00:05:35)

Continuity mistake: When Sophie and Alex are in the cafe the camera shows Alex from behind Sophie, and Sophie picks up a drink in the very next shot she has put it down. This happens throughout the scene in the cafe with her hands. (00:35:30)

Continuity mistake: In the morning after Alex and Sophie sleep together, Sophie is holding a blanket around her and talking to Alex. The position of the blanket changes between shots throughout the entire scene. (00:55:50)
