Game of Thrones (2011)

Correction: When watching the actual episode, in the close-up, we see Robb (not Jon) place his hand at the front of Bran's shoulder, and then we also see that Bran turns his body so that Robb's hand already moves before this close-up ends. It then dissolves into the wide shot, and at the very start of this wide shot, Robb's hand is in the same shoulder area, and then Robb stretches his arm across to the center of Bran's back as they begin to walk. The two provided screenshots (and caption "hand changes position") are not an accurate representation of the episode's onscreen continuity.

Breaking Bad (2008)

Cat's in the Bag... - S1-E2

Corrected entry: Just as the camera shows Jessie lighting his crack pipe, there is a TV playing and the screen shows a man with a razor to his hairline. Camera does an instant cut and now said razor is by his cheek. (00:37:20)

Ssiscool

Correction: This isn't a mistake for "Breaking Bad." That's how the scene cuts in The Three Stooges short film "Hokus Pokus" (1949). What we see in "Breaking Bad" is a continuous showing of the actual shaving scene.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: This does not occur between two consecutive shots. There's a shot of Homer and Bart leaving the house in between those two shots, which provides sufficient time for Selma and Patty to cross their arms.

Friends (1994)

Correction: Chandler's suit changes because he's wearing different ones over multiple days. He attempts to fire Nina, then chickens out, then tries again on another day and fails, then finally musters the courage to do so on a third attempt after his boss confronts him.

raywest

No, if you watch the scene you will see that on the second attempt the suit changes colour between camera angles. This is not because it is different days.

Ssiscool

I just streamed it again. I don't see that the suit changes color from grey to green, but it does look different when seen from either the front or the back view. However, it looks like this is just from the set lighting. There's a strong light source coming from the left-hand side that makes Chandler's suit look lighter from the back. The front is more shadowed.

raywest

Correction: He wears the same suit throughout the scene, but the light hits it differently when he moves around the office.

Kaltenmeyer

Correction: It's not the actor's "lines" that are printed on that page, McGee is simply reading aloud Cryer's DOD Duty Specs.

Super Grover

Correction: These shots are not consecutive, there are two other shots in between. First there's a wide shot of Lieutenant Commander Coleman brushing off the bottom of her left shoe. Second, is a closeup of Gibbs, and third shot is a closeup of Coleman's face. Then the fourth shot is a closeup of Coleman brushing off the bottom of her right shoe. While Coleman's body is offscreen there's ample time for her to switch her crossed legs.

Breaking Bad (2008)

Grilled - S2-E2

Corrected entry: The White family has missing posters made up for Walt. However, they fail to include a phone number for tips or information to be passed on to the family. (00:12:30)

Ssiscool

Correction: There's fine print that you might not have been able to read. There's a line that says "please contact the police immediately at 505-145-4331 or call 911."

Bishop73

Using zoom, I agree that's it's there.

Corrected entry: When the cruise liner is heading towards the oil tanker, her speed is 17kts. When the oil taker is monitoring the cruise ship, the speed it's doing is 14kts. Alex's attempt to slow the cruise ship down failed so that won't explain the difference. (01:18:00 - 01:21:00)

Ssiscool

Correction: This is incorrect due to how ships record speed. In fact, it is probably the most factual thing in the entire film! The Seaborn Legend records its speed using GPS like every other ship, but it will also take into account current speed and direction (speed and direction the water is moving at). Any other ships would see the same GPS data, which would show the speed lower than what it actually is. In the nautical world, this is known as "Speed Over Water VS Speed Over Ground".

The Sofa-Bed - S1-E1

Corrected entry: When Jackie and Martin are saying hello to the boys in the garage, Jackie's hands are constantly changing from open to closed fists between instant cuts with no time to open/close them. (00:01:40)

Ssiscool

Correction: She does have time.

Correction: The number of flights doesn't equate to floors, and Alan's door may be down a hallway but the room is below Charlie's - this fact is stated in numerous of the story lines.

Fast Five (2011)

Corrected entry: Reyes is the only one able to open his vault in the police station as shown in the movie. All the cash from the cash houses are taken to the vault and we see Reyes arrive to check the money is in the vault. How did the money get in the vault if only Reyes himself can open it? To assume the vault is kept open would be ludicrous as it would defy the whole point of the vault. (00:52:30)

Ssiscool

Correction: Reyes has all of his money taken from the safe houses to the police station, all at the same time. Yes, the vault is kept open until all the money gets there and then it is closed. There is no other way to do what Reyes wants without leaving the vault open. Bear in mind that under normal circumstances the money itself has very little actual security, because nobody else would be crazy enough to attack one of Reyes' safe houses.

BaconIsMyBFF

While your correction is good in respect of the money being taken to the vault, my mistake was referring to the point before the heists. Reyes orders the money to be taken to the vault after the one safe house is hit. And when all the cash is being brought it, yes the vault would be kept open. But what about before the first hit on the safe house? It is extremely unlikely that the vault would have been open prior to this. So how was the vault opened to allow all the money to be brought in in the first place? If only Reyes can open it.

Ssiscool

We don't know anything at all about the safe or its contents prior to the money being consolidated. It very well could have been completely empty and unlocked. Reyes could have unlocked the safe, left the building, and only returned once all his money was there. There just isn't enough information for this to be a plot hole. Remember, Reyes is only doing all of this because Dom burned his money. He fully trusts the cops to keep his money safe and it is fairly well established that nobody else in Rio would even attempt to steal from him.

BaconIsMyBFF

Corrected entry: At the start we see a BBC News report with the presenter walking round the studio (as actually happens in the UK), However there are no camera men at any of the cameras to control them. (00:07:10)

Ssiscool

Correction: On BBC news broadcasts in the studio the cameras are controlled remotely, so there are no camera people present.

Corrected entry: This film takes place just 3 years after the events of Jurassic World. However when the camera pans over the resort you can see the stadium has several trees larger than the stadium in height. Impossible to achieve in 3 years. (00:25:20)

Ssiscool

Correction: It is explained in one of the other films, can't remember which one, think it might have been Sarah in Jurassic Park: The Lost World, that due to the herbivores only eating trees and such, they modified the soil to make stuff grow faster.

Corrected entry: At the end the museum burns down to the ground and Barnum and Phillip decide to open up again. However once the new circus is open we see Barnum leave to see his daughter perform in the ballet. But in reality it was over 5 years from when the museum burnt down to when the circus opened. Yet his daughter is the same age.

Ssiscool

Correction: Within the movie's storyline, the tented circus opens a short time after the building burns down, despite the fact that "in reality" it was 5 years. This film is not a historical documentary. It's a highly fictionalized story loosely based on a few real people and real events, and as such they're not obligated to be factually accurate, which is a standard accepted movie convention.

Correction: The gun is only not visible because it is out of sight of the camera.

Correction: A character doing a stupid thing isn't a stupidity mistake, it is just the character being stupid (like using the wrong French phrases). There is no minor plot hole based on his decision.

Friends (1994)

Correction: When Ross and Joey are standing in the bathroom stalls looking into Chandler's stall, since Joey is going commando Chandler offers Ross $50 for his underpants just as the shocked man walks in on them. Even though Ross initially said no to giving Chandler his underpants, we do not hear Ross decline this very generous offer. So in the next shot it's been a little while, and not only do we see that shocked man already seated continuing his meal, we can safely presume the striped boxers that Chandler's wearing actually belong to Ross, who made an easy $50 to help Chandler out.

Correction: Technically, when you use a network for the first time, there are many steps involved like creating a VPN, matching IP addresses, etc, hence the delay. Once you have connected and used it at least once, the go-betweens don't exist, hence there is no delay.

The delay wouldn't be that long.

Hot Fuzz (2007)

Corrected entry: When Angel is jumping the fences, you can tell by the way he is jumping that he using something to spring over the fences. (00:28:50)

Ssiscool

Correction: Remember the scene from "Shaun of the Dead" where Shaun used a trampoline to leap over the fence? Angel could have used a trampoline on the third one, where he visibly springs on something in what could possibly be a children's backyard on a mini-trampoline, but we never see what he leaps on. The first two jumps have no indication of aid.

There is a clear indication of aid on the first two as well. The third one is obvious he uses a trampoline.

Oxy Moron - S4-E10

Corrected entry: Spence asks Doug to arrange a meeting between him and Danny about possibly renting a place together. However, in the previous few episodes it is established that they are all friends already. (00:03:20)

Ssiscool

Correction: Spencer and Danny actually went to high school together, according to the reunion episode where Spencer claims to have slept with the Spanish teacher. A formal introduction initiated by Doug over an apartment rental would've been unnecessary by that time.

Precisely.

Ssiscool

Correction: People are often more formal when dealing with money, business, renting, etc. Spence might not have felt comfortable approaching Danny directly. Perhaps he felt that he and Danny were not as close as the rest of the guys. Spence seems to have met Danny through Doug. It would not be strange for him to present the idea to Doug first.
