Continuity mistake: When Pippa wakes up Herb, he sits up and listens. From an angle behind he lays back to rest, but from a front angle he is still sitting up and doesn't lay back until some time later.

Continuity mistake: When Sandra asks if bats grab onto your hair, her hand jumps from resting on her cheek to her nape between shots.

Continuity mistake: When Pippa and Herb are having dinner, she hits the table with her fist and wine splatters on his shirt. When he stands up and walks to the bedroom the shirt is spotless.

Other mistake: During the ferry scene, after Ray watches above at the aliens, there's an aerial view of the harbour and afterwards a shot of a crowd staring at the sky. Watch for a man on the right with a red hat taking a quick peek at the camera in front.

Continuity mistake: When the movie ends, Rachel runs to hug her mother and a strong wind blows large amounts of leaves a meter up. A frame later, from a different angle, the wind is milder and the leaves barely move.

Continuity mistake: Ray runs out of the house looking for Rachel and moves away some weeds blocking the door. When the angle changes the door is spotless.

Continuity mistake: When Rachel is watching the floating corpses in the river, the shots alternate back and forth between a wide angle where she is standing still and wind is not blowing, to a close-up where she is sobbing, moving her shoulders up and down rhythmically and her hair is moving rapidly.

Revealing mistake: After the ferry scene, CGI clothes fall off from the sky, but manage to go through the branches of the trees, without becoming entangled in them, or without the branches affecting the falling path of the fabric.

Continuity mistake: When the movie ends and Ray meets his family, the street keeps swapping from sunny to shadowy back and forth.

Visible crew/equipment: Boom mic visible on the upper right side of the screen when Andy's family kisses him goodbye the night he passes away.

Continuity mistake: When the girl meets the mini dinosaur she is standing on the sand, parallel to the edge of the grass. A frame later she's half a meter away, perpendicular to the grass. (00:02:50)

Continuity mistake: When the movie starts and the little girl is surrounded by mini dinosaurs, her father lowers his Financial Times newspaper twice. First in the closeup he lowers it to his lap, and then at the start of the next wideshot the newspaper is back up in front of his face when he lowers it again before it drops onto the sand. Continuity mistake: After Carol Ann's been abducted, her family walks upstairs and places one mattress on top of another. A few seconds later they are arranged in a different way.

Trivia: When the movie was released in Spain, all Spanish dialogue and references were changed to Italian. However, despite the fact that the map shows the name 'Guille el Tuerto', the Spanish dubbing referred to him as 'Willy el Tuerto'.

Revealing mistake: When the tank shoots-up the jeep the interior is revealed to be empty and such a prop.

Visible crew/equipment: When Lenny lets the guards in you can see filming equipment reflected in the rear-view mirror of Lenny's car.

Continuity mistake: While in the zeppelin, the German officer extends his baton and lowers Dr. Jones's newspaper, wrinkling it. From the opposite angle, the newspaper is still raised and the officer repeats the previous movements, though this time he doesn't wrinkle the newspaper.

Continuity mistake: While the Fratelli's carry the corpse bag, the hood on Mike's yellow raincoat changes positions between shots.
