Revealing mistake: The seagulls on the beach (when Dr. Jones scares them with his umbrella) are blatantly fake. They don't move an inch. This was also confirmed by producer Robert Watts in this making-of video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMFMKsrXuGY (minute 2'30").

Continuity mistake: Indy brings the carbon copy to Markus who says "The name of the city is Alexandreta", and a close-up shows the paper with no hands on it; a shot later Marcus' hand is on the paper.

Continuity mistake: The holes produced by the rhino's horn on the roof of the train carriage disappear in the wide shot when young Indy grabs onto the swinging pole.

Continuity mistake: When young Indy fights a baddie, the rhino sticks his horn through the roof and the baddie is pushed to the right. When the angle changes he is falling on the opposite side.

Continuity mistake: Spanish release only: When Ralph reads the comments column the text he reads is in Spanish. When the shot changes it's in English.

Continuity mistake: Mickey is drying his mom's hair with the hair dryer and hands her a toy phone. The way he grabs the phone changes between shots.

Continuity mistake: When young Indy confronts the lion, the way the whip is rolled changes between shots. The second time a small loop appears.

Continuity mistake: During the rhino scene, the roof of the carriage swaps from dark grey to blue before the rhino's horn goes through the roof.

Continuity mistake: When young Indy falls on the rhino carriage, there's two banners whipping by each of his legs. When the angle changes (to an obvious chroma background) the banner on the right is gone.

Continuity mistake: When young Indy breaks the lion's carriage ceiling and falls inside, a wooden plank falls on his stomach. When the angle changes the plank is gone.

Continuity mistake: When the movie beings, the Boy Scouts at the end of the row dismount the horses, then the angle changes and they dismount the horses again.

Continuity mistake: During the Job 3:14 scene, Ethan places the Bible parallel to the laptop and the gun. In the close-up angle it always appears that way, but in wider angles the laptop is slightly slanted. (00:34:15)

Continuity mistake: While being chased by the plane, Dr. Jones faces backwards and cries "This is intolerable!", then faces forward and ducks. From the immediate wide angle he is still facing backwards.

Continuity mistake: When Durant walks into Louis' office, after he places the glass on the table and says he's got good and bad news, his arm is either stretched out or not depending on the angle.

Continuity mistake: At Peyton's lab, after Julie tells him she can't help him and walks down the stairs, wooden crates suddenly appear on the floor between shots.

Continuity mistake: When Durant exits the courthouse the passers by are not continuous between shots. Furthermore, a woman in red reading a paper walks by twice.

Continuity mistake: When Durant is arrested, he places his right hand over his left wrist. The cop handcuffs his left wrist but, in the following shot, Durant's right hand disappears and is replaced by the cop's hand.

Continuity mistake: During the dancing freak scene, Peyton holds an iron bar and looks at his reflection on a puddle. He lets go of the bar, which falls on the floor. He then takes his hands to his head, but the reflection on the puddle shows his arms at waist level. Also, in the following shot the iron bar falls on the floor again.

Continuity mistake: During the car chase at the start of the movie, the rear view mirror of the FBI car swaps from skewed to straight between shots.
