Other mistake: Miss Fisher takes a handwritten phrase in "ancient" Hebrew to one of the main characters to be translated. The writing is actually in cursive Hebrew and is properly written. While performing the translation however, the "expert" translator holds the writing upside down. He also follows the writing with his finger from left to right. Hebrew is written from right to left. Other mistake: In season 5 episode 7, Tony is talking about JFK, and said he was in grammar school when it happened. However, in this episode Tony celebrates his 47th birthday. He was probably born in 1960, so he would have been no more than 3 years old and not in grammar school when JFK was president. (00:26:36 - 00:38:02)
Other mistake: In the two scenes that occur at Lucky's base in Iraq, it is quite obvious the writers did not do much research about the Army in Iraq now, or the Army in general. Alcohol is not allowed on any US base anywhere in the Middle East during the current conflict, and this is true for all branches of the military. Even if Lucky did manage to procure contraband alcohol, he would not drink it openly, because an MP would arrest him within minutes. If he appeared in his Sergeant's tent drunk, he would be arrested, and severely disciplined, probably demoted. No one on a US base would be known as a habitual drunk, because anyone found drunk more than once would be either sent back to the states for rehab, or dishonorably discharged. Also, in the US Army, Sergeants are never addressed as "Sir." This is one of the very first things a new recruit learns at Basic Training, and it is drilled into him. It is extraordinarily unlikely that a soldier would slip up and call a sergeant "Sir" once, let alone repeatedly, as Lucky's buddy does. After the first time, the Sergeant would correct him.
Other mistake: Gus is talking to his employee about the twins while writing something on a clipboard. However, he is using the opposite end of the pen and just pretending to write. (00:14:40)
Other mistake: At the end of the episode, the evil Shan is texting with (most likely) Moriarity. She is sitting at a desk facing a wall and yet the laser targeting ray appears directly on her forehead, which could only come through a window directly opposite her.
Other mistake: Abel was 18 months old when Thomas was born. All through the series, Thomas hardly ages. In season 7 Abel is 5 and in kindergarten yet Thomas looks younger than 3. He's not even walking or talking yet! Thomas should be at least 3 years old according to the time span of the series.
Other mistake: The registration number of the Ford Zephyr police car is RVP154G but the security etching on the window reads EKM414C.
Other mistake: In this episode, Shawn supposedly impresses Jules at their first meeting by "divining" facts about her family and cats. We never hear about the cats again and later learn that her parents have not been together for 30 years.
Other mistake: Slightly after the opening credits, Jack Malone is investigating the disappearance of Annie Miller and is standing in her mother's bedroom. He turns to Carol Miller's boyfriend and asks to "speak to Mrs. Malone alone." The subtitles correctly have 'Miller' written, but when Anthony LaPaglia says his line, the two words rhyme. (00:06:45)
Other mistake: The bridge jump scene in this episode is recycled from the season two episode "Labor Pains" where the van changes.
Other mistake: Hodges and Angie find a piece of paper buried with Bones' mother and they tell Bones that the date of the movie is September 22, 1993. The ticket has two dates, September 22, 1993 and in two different places it says April 22, 1993. The Fugitive was released August 6th, 1993.
Other mistake: Season 5, Episode 12, "Stakeout": The picture on McGee's camera phone is just wrong. It shows not just the man in front of him, but it also shows a hand, holding a camera phone - McGee's camera phone. In other words, the phone is showing a picture of itself and the man, instead of just the man. (00:40:25)
Other mistake: During the hold up when Medhurst is sprung from the police van, the breakdown truck used to pull the doors of the van reverses towards the police van twice after releasing the chains off the doors before driving away, and the camera lights are reflected in the side of the white getaway car.
Heart of Ice - S1-E3
Other mistake: When Batman is watching the security footage of Victor Fries' accident, at first Fries is addressing the camera directly which follows him and pans according to his movements and Ferris Boyle interrupting him, which would suggest a second person was in the room with a handheld camera. But after Ferris Boyle enters the room and orders Fries' experiment terminated, there are several cuts from various angles in the room suggesting surveillance cameras. The surveillance style footage also often conveniently cuts to the face of whichever person happens to be speaking or will cut to a certain angle in order to put emphasis on the action, all of which would require multiple mounted cameras and purposeful editing by either Boyle or one of his subordinates, which would be completely illogical since they don't want anyone to see the footage in the first place. Flowers for Your Grave - S1-E1
Other mistake: Beckett and Co are in the mental patient's apartment. She opens one of Castle's novels. The title page says that it's called "A Skull at Springtime." However, on the opposite page, it says that the book is "Storm Fall." (00:19:50)
Other mistake: Just after Michael finds Devon in the trailer, as he gets in K.I.T.T you see him put the gear into D and then he reverses. Then it shows you him putting the gear into R and then drives off. Looks like they got the footage the wrong way round in the edit.
Other mistake: At the beginning of the episode, the date on the security camera is 29/11/2020, 1:30 am. Later when the policeman checks his phone, it's 30/11, meaning that Pellegrini waited to contact him more than a day. In episode 2, Assane's phone showed the date as Tuesday 27th Oct (timecode around 00:16:30), which would mean if true that they investigated for over a month without discussing with the commissioner the basic details, which of course is impossible. (00:02:30 - 00:13:30)
Other mistake: Carrie the assistant brings Lisbon and Jane to Stutzer's office. She swipes her card to open the door. However, she does this upside down, swiping the bar-code instead of the black magnetic strip, on which she is holding. (00:09:30)
Surf's Up! Joker's Under! - S3-E10
Other mistake: An amazingly precognizant Dick Grayson is already wearing his surfing togs before Commissioner Gordon calls to say that Joker has invaded the surfing community. (00:04:30)
Suggested correction: Dick isn't amazingly precognizant. He's wearing swim trunks while using the rag to prep his own surfboard. Barbara Gordon was already at the beach with Skip, and Dick is heading to the beach with his surfboard as well (00:04:34).
Other mistake: Throughout the whole show there are several shots of submarines, aircraft carrier landings, chopper flights that are exactly the same in different episodes.
