Continuity mistake: Daniel Boone makes Talbot (the bad guy) cut a hole in the skiff, so they can't follow him down river. When Talbot gets done cutting the hole, he throws the axe into the skiff as he starts to get onto the barge. But then Boone says "now gimme that axe", and Talbot has the axe in his hand.
