Stupidity: On 9/12/05, during Eve's trial, her sister Liz stood up in the courtroom and began a diatribe in which she discussed subject matter relevant to the trial. Ethan then told Eve that this had harmed her chances. Why, then, didn't Ethan ask for a mistrial? A prolonged outburst like that is a classic example of something that would precipitate a mistrial.
Passions (1999)
1 stupidity in show generally
Starring: Juliet Mills, Galen Gering, Lindsay Hartley, McKenzie Westmore
Genres: Drama
Continuity mistake: Did any one else notice that Sheridan gave birth without ever taking off her pants?
Ethan: Studies I've seen say the number one reason marriages are successful is because the two people involved have a lot in common. You have a lot. Luis is common.
Trivia: At the end of 2005, Sharon Wyatt joined the cast of this NBC soap as crazed Rachel Barrett, who "torments" Alistair Crane, played by John Reilly. This is not the first time these two actors play opposite each other. They played the lovable, nutty couple Tiffany "Elsie Mae" Hill and Sean Donely, on ABC's General Hospital, for many years. (Now if only Tristan Rogers would join the cast.)
Question: Can someone please explain why Alistair's face is never shown, and why there is one actor who does his voice and another to portray him from the neck down?

Answer: It's just supposed to be funny. It's an old plot ploy that's been overused in recent years. The last time it was really funny was when Home Improvement did it with the next door neighbor. I think they use a different voice because they like the way that actor's voice sounds.
