Continuity mistake: When Buffy is fighting Kendra the fragments of the table she is thrown onto have disappeared when she stands up again. (00:42:40)
Continuity mistake: When Buffy looks into the childrens' ward the sign on the door saying 'Basement Access' disappears and reappears between shots. (00:12:00 - 00:36:15)
School Hard - S2-E3
Continuity mistake: While studying at the Bronze, Buffy and Willow leave their books on the table to go and dance. Spike calls them outside to fight a vampire, and when Xander runs back inside to grab a stake the books have all been put back into Buffy's bag. (00:14:00 - 00:15:45)
Revealing mistake: When all the vampires are saying "for the dark", and one gets staked, there's a mark on his shirt where the stake's about to come through before it actually happens. Plus Buffy's hands are in the wrong place for her to have pushed that stake through, as well as there being no stake in her hand when the vampire gets dusted. Not only that, but the mark isn't even close to the vampire's heart to begin with. (00:34:50)
I Only Have Eyes For You - S2-E19
Revealing mistake: After Buffy has entered the wasp-filled school there's a shot of the others standing outside waiting for her. In the establishing long shot if you look closely you can see they used the same shot as earlier in the episode - Buffy is standing there with them. (00:34:10)
Revealing mistake: When Buffy sets the vampire alight, his face suddenly gets very shiny, showing the fireproof gel that was applied to the actor's skin. (00:37:20)
Continuity mistake: In the season two episode, 'When She Was Bad', in the scene where Buffy smashes the masters skeleton with a sledge-hammer she smashes the rib cage to pieces. Suddenly the rib cage has again become completely intact and she smashes it to hell again. (00:40:35)
The Dark Age - S2-E8
Revealing mistake: When Buffy and Giles are talking in the school in the final scene, the same extra (in a beige shirt and blue jeans) walks out of the room behind Buffy twice. (00:42:50)
School Hard - S2-E3
Continuity mistake: When Cordelia comes up to Buffy talking about how "even slaves get minimum wage", in pretty much every shot her arms switch from being at her sides to crossed in front of her, held behind her or on her hips.
Continuity mistake: When Buffy puts her egg down, the position of the chain and pen she sets it down by change depending on whether the shot's from Willow's side or Buffy's. (00:08:40)
Continuity mistake: Right as Buffy gets out of the car and watches Joyce drive away, Cordelia and her friend are walking up the stairs, along with a girl in a blue shirt at the top of the stairs walking towards the school. The next shot Buffy is walking towards the stairs, Cordelia is already far away chatting with her friend and the girl is blue is back on the stairs again. (00:27:00)
Chosen answer: "So goes the nation" seems to have been used on many occasions, with various different US states in the "As .... goes" section. Most commonly it seems to be California that's considered to lead the way, but probably most other states have appeared in the lead role at some point or another. Other things have also been used - no less a person that Pope John Paul II said "As the family goes, so goes the nation...". The origin of the quote format is unclear - in US politics it goes back into the 19th century, when it was Maine that held the title spot, but, while no definitive origin is known, it seems highly likely that it goes back considerably further than that.
