The match would burn much more intensely and quickly because of the extra oxygen, but the only fuel would be the match, the cigarette, and perhaps the rest of the box of matches, which would only make a small fire.

In Columbo, Most Crucial Game, Columbo solves the case by noticing that the sound of a clock striking is not there in a recorded phone call, proving that the call was not made from the office, as the murderer claims.
