Continuity mistake: When Tsubasa in the sweeper position dispossesses Teppei Kisugi, his facial expression and the position of his leg and the ball are different from shot to shot. (00:20:05)
Other mistake: After the scene with Roberto and Tsubasa's mom, look behind the lanes of the 200 meters (above the fifth); one of the athletes in the background is sitting in midair. (00:07:20)
Continuity mistake: The Shuutetsu players are in front of the gates of the Wakabayashi to get to the match with him. In the wide shot the leftmost ones are in a sunlit area (the rays come through the bars of the gate), but in the closer view they are in the shade. (00:02:05)
Character mistake: The climactic football match takes place at 2 PM, but the French and Italian dubs have Roberto mention that he's anxious to see how Tsubasa ("Oliver") will play "tonight." (00:06:00)
Other mistake: Roberto meets Genzo at the shrine in the early morning, and Genzo is pumped up and ready to go to the match. In another scene, Roberto is at the stadium hanging out on his own, but Genzo still hasn't got to the stadium and will arrive only much later when the match is about to begin.
Other mistake: Eleven Nankatsu players run past the 4 Shuutetsu guys who are looking for Genzo. They all wear the team jersey, the keeper is missing. They have just players total, 10 plus the keeper, the extra player was never supposed to be there. (00:04:05)
Character mistake: Tsubasa takes part in the 200m dash because, as Ryo says "the runner of our team got injured." The runner? There are many athletes taking part in the contest, but both come from just 2 teams. Also needless to say, the race would have also been invalidated, and yet Tsubasa who showed up with no permission and kicking a ball is proclaimed the winner. (00:07:25)
Factual error: If we had to go by the pre-kickoff aerial shot, Shuutetsu is playing with a 2-3-5, which is definitely not a normal soccer formation - and we never see during the actual play anything close to the team having 5 forwards. Also, the linesmen are infield instead of behind the sidelines. (00:17:05)
