Continuity mistake: When Silver Surfer is engulfed by the Fractite, he is standing on the middle of his board with his left foot closest to the front (the "goofy" stance), knees slightly bent and arms extended to his side with his elbows slightly bent. In the next scene, he is shown to have both of his feet pointed towards the front of his board, with his knees bent more and his torso leaning back. The Fractite holds him in place, similar to if you were frozen in ice, so he wouldn't have been able to freely move.

Answer: From Wikipedia: Eight episodes were written for the second season before production was shut down. According to series creator Larry Brody, the cancellation was the result of a legal dispute between Marvel and Saban Entertainment.
