But that scene happened early in the morning (Kai takes off for his trip, and after seeing them together, Zan goes to Alec, being even greeted with "Good morning Zan, you're up early").
Continuity mistake: When the desk sarge checks out of the content of CG's bag, he lies down the brown bag twice, and the milk carton next to it is never visible from the reverse shot even when it appears to be right next to it. (00:13:50)
