A few minutes later, after the flashback to grade school, when Syrus activates Polymerization to fuse the two monsters together, they are now the first and second card in his left hand, on the left-hand side. Continuity mistake: When Syrus finishes his scary story, Jaden places the card Syrus was using face down on the table. In the next shot, the card is suddenly face up and has been replaced with a different one. Then in the shot after that, it is suddenly face up at a different part of the table. (00:02:23)
Continuity mistake: When Jaden is telling Syrus he still lives at the dorm, in the shot of him saying Ra Yellow is nice, there is a still shown at the edge of the bed. Later in the scene, when Jaden is trying to stop Syrus crying on him, the stool is suddenly further from the bed. (00:19:48 - 00:20:21)
Continuity mistake: When Jaden walks into the dorm at the end of the episode, in the shot from above, he leaves his shoes on. A couple of seconds later, when the same shot angle is shown again, his shoes are suddenly off, even though he was never shown taking them off. (00:19:37)
Continuity mistake: In the flashback of the card shop owner giving Jaden the pack of rare cards, in the shot focusing on her, she is holding the pack with two hands, but when the shot focuses on Jaden, she is holding the pack with one hand. (00:15:45)
Continuity mistake: At the start of the duel, Jaden draws a card from his deck, which is placed in between two fingers. When the card is revealed to be Winged Kuriboh, it is now placed in between his thumb and one finger. (00:09:57)
Continuity mistake: On Jaden's first turn, he draws a card from his deck. He has two fingers pressed against the back, but when the shot cuts, he now has the side of one finger placed against the card. (00:11:57)
Continuity mistake: After Alexis summons Etoile Cyber to the field, she has her right hand at her side. When the shot cuts to a closer shot of her, her right hand and forearm are rotated to the left so that she can place a card face down. (00:11:48)
Continuity mistake: At the start of the duel, Chazz draws a card and has two fingers against the back of it. When it cuts to a close-up of the cards, he suddenly has one finger against the back. (00:11:15)
Continuity mistake: After Jaden has finished watching the video message from Chazz, in the close-up of the phone, he has his fingers over the front of the phone. When the shot cuts, his fingers are suddenly placed over the back of the phone. (00:10:12)
