Beneath the Ojama cards, the spell card Mystical Space Typhoon can be seen as the next card in his deck, and no other cards are shown. Two shots after, there is a closer shot of the cards, and Polymerization can be seen beneath Mystical Space Typhoon even though it wasn't visible in the earlier shot. (00:19:20)

Continuity mistake: When Aster tosses the cards over the card thief, an Elemental Hero Wildheart card lands on his chest face up and another card lands on his chest face down. Seconds later, when Syrus and Bastion go to check on him, the Wildheart card is now on the ground and there are three face down cards on his chest. (00:06:31)
Continuity mistake: After Hassleberry has Dark Tyrano attack The Magician and Sartorius' life points go down to 3600, when he starts saying "Maybe you should spend less time talking...", his right fist is raised slightly. In the next shot, his right fist is suddenly raised further. (00:09:12)
Continuity mistake: When the crashed satellite is first shown, there is rubble shown next to the satellite and the Kaiba Co Ltd can be seen on the satellite, positioned to the opposite end of the rubble. A couple seconds later, when the lid to the card capsule falls off, the logo is now positioned on a different side of the satellite, closer to the rubble. (00:09:28)

Continuity mistake: When Alexis first appears and watches the duel between Jasmine, Mindy and the Maître D, her duel disk on her right arm. A couple seconds later, when she approaches them, the duel disk is on her left arm. (00:11:50 - 00:12:18)
Continuity mistake: Chazz and Hassleberry argue about the Slifer Red meals, and then Chazz grabs onto Hassleberry's hand when he tries to pour soy sauce in his bowl. While this happens, Syrus is holding a bowl low to the table and is holding chopsticks pointed forwards. When the shot cuts to Syrus, the bowl is lifted higher off the table and the chopsticks are pointed downwards. (00:00:48)
Continuity mistake: When Jaden runs over to the crashed satellite, there is a close-up of the Kaiba Co Ltd logo that is covered in dirt. In the next shot, the dirt has disappeared from the logo. (00:09:34)
Continuity mistake: When Syrus arrives in the duelling arena and sits next to Hassleberry and Bastion, two Slifer Red students can be seen sitting behind Chazz. A couple minutes later, after Atticus says he and Alexis are going to conquer the world, it cuts to Hassleberry saying "Man, bro bro's got some issues", and the two Slifer Red students behind Chazz have disappeared. Continuity mistake: When Aster shows Jaden and Hassleberry the medals he won, some of the medals can be seen in between each of his fingers. Two shots later, when Aster says "I guess I've done all right", there are two fingers where medals cannot be seen in between. (00:06:53)
Continuity mistake: When Jaden, Syrus and Hassleberry are preparing their meal, Hassleberry has the fish placed on a log where he cuts through the fish guts. Later, when a flashback of Aster telling the trio that Bastion is duelling Chazz is shown, the log can be seen, but the fish cannot be seen on it. (00:14:07 - 00:16:15)
Continuity mistake: When Alice is explaining to Jaden, Syrus and Hassleberry that she knew they were going to come back today, so she wanted to make a good first impression, Jaden has his hands on his lap. In the next shot, his hands are suddenly on the table. (00:02:55)
Continuity mistake: When the two aides have finished putting the shock collars on Zane's neck and limbs, he is looking straight forward. The next shot, he is suddenly looking at Mr Shroud, behind him. (00:06:33)

Continuity mistake: Zane finds a man lying on the ground in an alleyway with cards tossed around him. In the shot of Zane saying, "You all right", the cards on the ground change when it cuts to a closer shot of the man. (00:04:45)

Continuity mistake: After the opening titles have played, there is a shot from above where explosions are around the forest and then the shot pans over to Duel Academy.
