Family Guy (1999)

Correction: Rewatch, please. When Lois pulls Peter out of the kitchen into the living room, they are exiting the door that is located beside the refrigerator inside the kitchen. Within the kitchen, this door is directly opposite the door (beside the wall telephone) that opens to the driveway (at the side of the house). Furthermore, within the living room, as Lois pulls Peter, we see this door is perpendicular to the wall with the stereo and stairs. This door is consistent with the home's usual layout.

I was just looking at this last night, watching this episode for some mistakes, and I looked into this. What appears to really be happening is I think the house is mirrored here, with the kitchen and door on the wrong side of the house to where it usually is. However, it is kind of hard to tell, and I cannot be certain.

After reading your reply, I was curious about what you said (it's always fun, for me, to see reversed/mirrored backgrounds and flipped shots). So I rewatched these scenes, with particular attention to the entire layout of the house, the kitchen, and the doors. Unfortunately, my own conclusion is that the home's layout - the house, the kitchen, the doors - is not mirrored; all are accurate in their placement.

Alright, sounds good. I think it's just the unusual blocking of seeing that door from that angle that may have thrown things off.
