Continuity mistake: In the scene where we see some men resting in a room, there is a lit candle in a metal pan on a barrel. On the right side of the metal pan is a purple object possibly a small candle. In the next shot we get a closer look and Glen Ford reaches out for the candle and pan to light his cigar and the purple object is not there.

Continuity mistake: In this scene we see the man who is resting his head on a sack has nothing in his right hand and then when we get a closer shot of him we see he is holding the barrel of his rifle.

keiko

Continuity mistake: In the scene where we see the room from a wider shot there is no rifle leaning against the barrel. We then get a closer shot of a man talking and there is now a rifle leaning against the barrel.

keiko

Continuity mistake: In this scene we see the pan with the candle is placed on some papers where as in the long shot there is no evidence of anything under the pan.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where two Marines swim up to a Japanese boat on a recon mission they are in t-shirts and shorts. They then get back to land to report to their Commander and amazingly their clothes are dry.

Buffalo Bill (1944)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where we see school children leaving the building and are going home we see two children go over to the see saw to ride on it. Buffalo Bill is talking to a little girl just outside the doorway and when it cuts in for a closer shot of the girl, you can see in the background there are now four children on the see saw; then again when the little girl starts walking home its back to the original two children who were on the see saw earlier on.

Tarzan Triumphs (1943)

Revealing mistake: In this scene we see Cheetah jumping down from a tree to the ground. In the next shot we see Cheetah and a circle of light moves, which indicates they were using a mirror or even a light for extra lighting to brighten up the shot. This happens very briefly and is very noticeable.

Continuity mistake: In the scene towards the end of the film where we see Slade's body fall, it falls onto a submerged rock just below the surface of the water and there is a splash of water. In the next shot Tarzan looks down from the cliff above and Slade's body is on a large dry rock, a little distant from where the body originally fell.

Bend of the River (1952)

Continuity mistake: In this scene we see Laura shot by a arrow. The arrow hits her in the right upper chest just below the neck. In the next shot they cut out the arrow and it's very clear the arrow has moved to the top of the right shoulder near the collar bone.

Continuity mistake: In the scene towards the end of the film where Tarzan is having a fight to the death with Slade, Tarzan manages to put the wire noose around Slade's neck. Next shot you see is Slade losing his balance at the edge of the cliff and about to fall. The noose somehow comes off Slade's neck and is discarded by Tarzan (to the right side): it falls on the cliff and appears to stay there. The next shot, Slade falls to his death and his body is on a rock below. Mysteriously the pole with the noose falls out of Slade's hand into the water.

Flat Top (1952)

Continuity mistake: In this scene we see a flight of Navy Corsair fighters leaving the deck of an aircraft carrier on a training run. While in the air a close up shot of the flight leader's cockpit reveals that the aircraft in the background have changed into Grumman Wildcat fighters. When they make their attack run it's back to Corsair fighters with no sign of the Wildcat fighters.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Tarzan rescues Connie from a lynching, Connie jumps onto the horse ridden by Tarzan with her hands firmly tied behind her back. They then ride into the desert followed by their captors. A close up shot shows Connie is untied and is holding onto Tarzan. In the next few shots Connie's hands are once again tied behind her back.

Revealing mistake: In the scene where there is a air battle between a DC-3 transport, a American Corsair fighter and a Japanese Zero fighter we see some shots where model aircraft were used - it can be seen that there are wires holding the three aircraft up.

Raid on Rommel (1971)

Factual error: In this scene we see two soldiers fire a heavy calibre machine gun into a armoured personnel carrier, which is only a few metres away. As they fire there is a two second delay, then we see the bullets hit the target vehicle. In reality there would not be a two second delay.

The Far Horizons (1955)

Continuity mistake: Sacajawea (Donna Reed) dives into the water to retrieve some important maps, which have fallen in and been taken to the back of the boat. When she dives in, the maps are back to the original area they fell into, when they should have been quite a distance from where they landed in the water.

Operation Pacific (1951)

Revealing mistake: In this scene we see John Wayne talking to the deck gunner who is manning his post. There are also some sailors who are scanning the horizon for enemy shipping. It is obvious the background scenery of a cloudy night is a stage prop. You can also see a dark line coming down, meaning it was put together in panels. The fact that the clouds don't move or change shape also suggests the use of a stage prop. (01:14:20)

Operation Pacific (1951)

Revealing mistake: In this scene we see the underwater shot of the US submarine and the hull of the Japanese ship. It is clear this scene was shot in a tank as the suns reflection appears on the tank wall to the left of the shot.

Operation Pacific (1951)

Continuity mistake: When the Japanese ship is about to be torpedoed, there are no numbers or letters on its side. In the next shot, when the ship explodes, a large white "265" is visible on the port side of the ship.

Sahara (1943)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where a gun battle with the enemy has ended, Sgt. Joe Gunn calls out the names of the soldiers. All answer except the South African soldier (Stegman). Gunn makes his way to the trench where Stegman is. Gunn sees Stegman has been shot dead. He takes Stegman's hat and there is a bullet hole in the hat but no blood on the hat or on his shirt. For a head shot there would be a considerable amount of blood. (01:09:50)

Sahara (1943)

Revealing mistake: In the scene where we first get a glimpse of the German fighter, it banks to the left and it can be seen there are no fuselage-mounted machine guns. Then when we have a close up of the pilot, the machine guns are mounted just in front of the cockpit. When the aircraft is making its strafing run, the fuselage-mounted machine guns are not there.
