Inspector Kenmochi the Murderer File 2 - S1-E20

Plot hole: The brief intermission when Busujima meets the 'killer', or at least the person wearing the hat, does not make sense plot-wise and is merely a dishonest way to trick the audience. It's not even something Busujima tells someone, so it can't be characterized as a 'unreliable narrator' device. (00:18:30)

Stupidity: Kindaichi has to talk to the lawyer of the case from three years back to learn about the gruesome details of the torture on Marina. However, those would be in possession of the police as well, and he has their full cooperation. (00:11:20)

Other mistake: There's a coloring mistake in the glass in front of Busujima in the shot when finishes playing his handheld game and sends the waitress away; the glass is half empty / half full...but vertically. The part to the right of the straw is full to the brim and the part to its left is nearly empty. (00:10:35)

Continuity mistake: Miyuki listens all dreamy to the guy who nearly killed her. When he says that he's been in America the past years, she joins her hands together; she does it with the pinky finger of her right-hand being the bottom finger, but in the next close-up the bottom finger is her left pinky. Evil Spirit of the Diving Pool - S1-E18

Continuity mistake: 14-years old Kindaichi comes up with the solution of the case but gets interrupted as he is about to utter his catchphrase. In the scene, the bookmark is in the top half of the book next to him, the bottom half when we see his mother scolding him. (00:12:00)
