Other mistake: Gomer volunteers for a 7 day parachute training. The training is held at a base at Sand Point, which is was an actual base outside of Seattle, WA. Gomer's original base is Camp Henderson, which is suppose to be in Southern California. At last minute, Sgt. Carter drives twice in a jeep to visit Gomer at Sand Point. The drive would have been at least 1300 miles one way. There is no possible way Sgt. Carter could have made the trip twice. (00:14:00)

Duke's uniform has square pocket flaps with the button exposed, an exposed button front shirt and the sleeves do not have button cuffs.
