Corrected entry: Indiana Jones states the crystal skull is made out of quartz. If it were, a skull of that size would be much heavier than the way the actors treat it. It is, obviously, a prop made out of plastic.

Correction: He states this before he knows the full story behind the skull. In the end it turns out to be something alien, so there's no reason it shouldn't have been light.

Apocalypto (2006)

Corrected entry: When prisoners are taken to the sacrifice temple, Jaguar Paw's friend says something about getting revenge in Hell. Hell is a Christian concept, thus there is no way Indians could have used it at that time, before the Spanish Conquest.

Correction: It says Hell in the ENGLISH subtitles because the subtitles are supposed to help ENGLISH speakers to understand the movie. If the subtitles had said the Mayan equivalent of Hell, ENGLISH speakers would not have known what it meant.

Corrected entry: When Ben's father is explaining to Ben and Riley about the three statues of Liberty, why does he only mention two of them? They have no way to know it's not the other one.

Correction: He says something like: "there's the one in New York, one in the Luxembourg gardens, but he only referred to one as 'his lady'" and then the scene cuts to Paris, so we can presume he said "he only reffered to one as his lady - the one in Paris".

Family Guy (1999)

Correction: If you play it in slo-mo, you can see that he DOES hit it, but I'll admit that it doesn't look like it when played at normal speed.

National Treasure (2004)

Corrected entry: When they are searching the Arctic for the Charlotte, there are high mountains visible in the background. There are mountains in Antarctica, but not the Arctic, which is a frozen ocean.

Correction: The movie states that they are north of the Arctic Circle, but never specifies exactly where they are. While it is implied that the are on a frozen ocean, those mountains in the background could be on the coast of any of the landmasses north of the Arctic Circle, such as Canada, Alaska, Russia, Scandinavia or Greenland.

Psycho (1960)

Corrected entry: In the closing scene, right before Marion's car is pulled out of the swamp, Norman Bates, or 'Mother' at this point, is sitting in a chair talking to himself. Watch his face closely before it shows Marion's car, and you can see the skeleton of Mrs. Bates superimposed over him.

Correction: Any information that can be gained simply by watching the film is not trivia.

The Simpsons (1989)

Wild Barts Can't Be Broken - S10-E11

Corrected entry: When the kids are broadcasting townspeople's secrets, and everyone else is in the meeting, Lisa says "And guess who's been practising medicine without a licence?" - scene cut, then cut back to the sign - "That's right: Homer Simpson" immediately afterwards, "D'OH!" is heard. The kids are OBVIOUSLY at least 1.5 miles from The Town hall, so there should have been a sound delay in between Lisa's last statement and hearing Homer's voice.

Correction: Neither can you hear someone yelling when you're one and a half miles away from them, but that happens all the time in cartoons- the cartoon makers are using artistic license.

Corrected entry: When Charlie and Grandpa enter the 'half-room' to enquire about the lifetime supply of chocolate, look at the 'half-lamp' on Wonka's desk. It has a full complete light bulb. This bulb should be 'in half' to match the rest of the room.

Correction: That's because a half lightbulb wouldn't work. Wonka would still want a working light, even if everything else was cut in half.

Family Guy (1999)

Correction: Not really trivia. It's incredibly obvious to anyone who's seen the movie that this is Charlie and Grampa Joe- in fact there are several close-ups of them during the episode.

Monk (2002)

Correction: Monk's fear of milk is not based on the taste of milk, but on its texture, and the way it slops everywhere when you pour it. Hot chocolate with milk in it has quite a different texture, and it wouldn't spill everywhere as Monk has no need to pour it.

Blibbetyblip

Correction: It's an irrational fear, it doesn't have to be consistent.

Captain Defenestrator

Correction: Sharona actually says at one point "We've made a lot of progress with milk."

Captain Defenestrator

Correction: His fear of milk is because it's like human breast milk, therefore full of bacteria. Also from a naked breast, even if from a cow. The act of milk being heated up for hot chocolate is the same as cooking out the bacteria of raw meat. It doesn't have to make sense that all milk is pasteurized. He actually tastes that it is hot, so now clean.

Correction: And those chocolate drinks are made with water and a powder containing milk powder but not milk.

Monk (2002)

Correction: When Monk was barefoot in the 'doing a jig' scene, he was distraught over losing his job and even more distraught over getting a new one. His mind was obviously miles away so he could be expected to have forgotten that he hates going barefoot.

New Kids on the Blecch - S12-E14

Corrected entry: When Lisa first discovers the subliminal message in the Party Posse video by playing it backwards, we hear the phrase 'Join the navy' delivered wrong because the voice we hear backwards is deeper. The tone of voice shouldn't change when audio is reversed.

Correction: Neither should "Yvan eht nioj" say "Join the navy" backwards - they are using creative license.

Corrected entry: At the Hogshead's Inn, when the students are meeting with Harry to determine if they want him to train them, they begin naming some of his accomplishments. Nevill makes mention that Harry killed a basilisk in Dumbledores office, when, in fact, Harry killed the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets, not Dumbledores office.

SAZOO1975

Correction: Neville actually says: "He killed the Basilisk with that sword in Dumbledore's office", meaning that Harry killed the Basilisk with the sword that usually resides in Dumbledore's office, and not meaning that Harry killed the Basilisk in Dumbledore's office with a sword.

Corrected entry: In the beginning of the movie, the radio announces the upcoming temperature in Fahrenheit. In Britain celcius would be more likely.

Correction: Actually, while Britain officially uses Celsius, a lot of people know the Fahrenheit system too, especially the older generation, so radio announcers frequently give it in Fahrenheit as well.
