Trivia: On the Death Star, just after Darth Vader speaks to the stormtroopers, one of them, in the background, moves and looks stupidly around him while the others are straight.

Trivia: In the version released in 1980, Emperor Palpatine was voiced by Clive Revill, but was played by an old woman with makeup and a fake monkey eyebrow bump. In the 2004 DVD (and in "Return of the Jedi"), he is voiced and played by Ian McDiarmid, who played the Emperor in later films.

Trivia: The uniforms of Alliance pilots resemble the uniform of US Navy pilots in the 60's and they were made with racing pilot's clothes. They also have distress rockets on their ankle like Luftwaffe pilots in the second world war.

Trivia: The Ewoks' language is a mixture of Tibetan, Nepalese and Mongol.

Trivia: Qui-Gon Jinn calls Queen Amidala's spaceship a Nubian model J-327. 327 was the number of the landing pad where the Millennium Falcon landed on the first Death Star in episode IV and on the Cloud City in episode V. Supposedly this number also appears in "American Graffiti" (1974), a film George Lucas directed.

Trivia: In the scene when the Neimodians order the combat droids to capture the Queen, right after you see the Jedis hidden, a droid has DD written on his back: the symbol of Dolby Digital.
