Continuity mistake: At Twin Pines Mall, when Marty is recording Doc Brown, Marty is raising the video camera to record Doc Brown saying, "No, no, no, this sucker's electrical," but when this piece of film is played back in the Doc's garage in 1955 it appears as if Marty was already recording when the Doc starts speaking. Continuity mistake: In the scene where Marty is driving the black Toyota pickup at the end of the movie, the truck's registration plate is missing - it can be seen when the truck is in the garage at the start of the film. Also the driver's door quarter light (vent window) is open. When we see the inside of the door it is closed. (01:41:45)

Continuity mistake: Right at the start of the movie where Doc Brown pulls up on the drive of Marty's house, we see a panning shot as Marty and Jennifer walk to the DeLorean - there are no vehicles parked on that side of the street. A moment later as Marty waves his hand in front of the Doc's glasses, there's a green VW bus parked almost outside the house. Then as the Doc's looking through the rubbish bin, the VW's moved further down the street. Then as the DeLorean backs off the drive, there's a yellow VW bus there instead. (00:01:20 - 00:02:05)
