Continuity mistake: When Viktor is sitting at the computer system in the studio warehouse, he pours himself out a glass of Jack Daniels and places his eyeglasses down on the table. In the shot when he says "I'm so relaxed around you," he puts his hand down in front of the glasses, flat against the table. In the next shot his hand is behind the glasses and is now clenched into a fist. (00:23:10)

Continuity mistake: After Viktor has read out the 'statement' from Simone at the press conference, and then runs off leaving, all of the other journalists that were seated jump up from their chairs and run after him - apart from Max and Milton who are sitting at the back. But in the following closeup of them you can see the shoulder of somebody sitting down in front of them, even though in the previous shot everybody else got up and ran after Viktor. (00:27:45)

Continuity mistake: When Viktor and Elaine are talking to each other in the studio warehouse, after all of the other studio executives leave, Viktor hands over a framed photo that has her and Simone in it. In the closeup as we see the picture frame with Elaine's hands holding it either side, both of her hands are empty. But in the next wideshot we see Elaine holding a pair of glasses in her left hand which was previously empty. (00:51:45)

Continuity mistake: When Viktor is in his beachouse with Jane (the woman who looks similar to Simone), they are fooling around and kissing. During the scene while Jane askes Viktor to call her Simone as they kiss, Viktor's left hand can be seen on Jane's right shoulder in some shots, but in other shots is is gone, then on her shoulder, then gone, etc. (00:42:50)

Continuity mistake: In the beachouse we see Lainey using her laptop in a closeup and she is researching a website that has a bright white layout. However in the next shot as we see her using the laptop from behind, her laptop screen is completely blacked out and dark and there appears to be nothing on the screen at all, even though she still pretends to type. In addition the pile of dinner napkins, knives and forks, on the counter to the left of Lainey changes from being almost beside her, to suddenly being almost on the other end of the counter. Continuity mistake: When Viktor is pacing back and forth in front of the large computer screen in the warehouse, talking to the studio executives about Simone being agoraphobic, he then comes to a stop and agrees that maybe she would do a television interview. As the shot switches back and forth, Viktor jumps from standing in front of the centre of the screen, to at the side of it and back again instantly. (00:51:05)

Continuity mistake: When the representitive of Hank's estate is chasing Viktor across the beach, he finally catches up to him and tells him he has something for him which was left for him in Hank's will. Continuity mistake: When Viktor is sitting at the computer system in the studio warehouse, sipping Jack Daniels and talking to the s1m0ne simulation on the computer screen, he begins to talk about "actors getting digital work done to themselves, it being a grey area, etc." - during this part, there is a pen, which jumps from the desk to Viktor's hand to the desk, instantly through subsequent shots. Continuity mistake: When Viktor is sitting at his home computer as he first operates the s1m0ne programme, the items on the desk beside him (parcel paper, wiring, etc.) continue to shuffle positions between shots. Continuity mistake: When Viktor is in the studio warehouse, operating the s1m0ne programme on the computer inside, as he first comes into the warehouse to sit at the desk he throws down a large black file on the edge of the table. Continuity mistake: During the scene between John and Judy in the classy hotel set, as they are preparing to stimulate sex against the bedpost, Judy removes all her outer layers of clothing and throws them on the bed. Continuity mistake: When the chipmunks are in the recording studio they are too exhausted to sing their song, so Ian comes in with plastic cups of coffee for them. Above the chipmunks heads is a large silver microphone - during this whole scene the microphone alternates from being just above their heads to being much further above their heads. (01:04:00)

Continuity mistake: After the chipmunks have performed 'Witch Doctor' at the Jett Records presentation, everyone starts to applaud and in one shot we see a huge net-load of balloons fall from the ceiling, onto the dance floor (which has been made to look like a huge vinyl record.) However seconds later we hear the DJ to tell everyone to start dancing and there is an overhead shot of everyone moving onto the same dance floor; only now there is not one single balloon in sight and there is no way they could have all disappeared off the dance floor. Continuity mistake: When Dave arrives at Jett Records and gives Ian his CD, we see Ian putting the disc into a Bose CD player with no speakers; and next to the CD player is a stack of CD cases. However in following shots, the CD player we see now has speakers that are actually attached to the player itself (and this is the same CD player Ian is using.) Additionally the stack of CD cases next to the player is much higher as well. (00:06:05)

Continuity mistake: When the chipmunks are cooking toaster waffles, they finally pop out of the toaster and fly all the way across the counter. Simon runs after one but doesn't catch it and it lands in front of him. In shots from the point of view of Dave, Simon is standing with the burnt waffle on the counter in front of him; and around him there are condiment shakers, food packages, utensils and a knife block. However during this scene there is a shot that has the camera behind the counter to show both Dave and Simon. However in these shots none of the aforementioned items surrounding Simon are there apart from the burnt toaster waffle. (00:21:55)

Continuity mistake: On top of the white cabinets / cupboards that run along the kitchen is a whole row of glass jars, vases, pots, etc. During the whole kitchen scene, the actual jars and pots that are on top of these cabinets move around and rearrange in different shots. In the close-up of Alvin pushing over the packet of Cheese Balls for instance; you can see that the jars and pots on the cupboard above are differently arranged than in other wide shots of the whole kitchen. Continuity mistake: In the scene inside the house that Uncle Ian gave the chipmunks, Alvin has foam darts on three air-pump launchers. He fires all three of the foam darts from the launchers; and we see him standing on the table with the three launchers and the three attached air-pumps, nothing else. But in the next shot suddenly all three of the launchers have a foam dart readily attached to them! And in addition a large pile of foam darts has appeared on the table, behind Alvin. (01:00:30)

Continuity mistake: When Dave gets back home from Jett Records, he throws the muffin basket that he stole into his garbage can. When he does this, as he throws it into the can it causes the clear plastic bin liner inside to come off from around the edge of the bin. But in the next shot the bin liner is perfectly sitting around the whole edge of the bin again. (00:09:35)
