Corrected entry: You might notice that Detective Spooner almost never uses his left hand, even for tasks for which two hands would be better. Only when he really needs to does he use his left because his left arm was replaced with a robotic hand, which probably doesn't work as well as his right hand.

Corrected entry: $108 one way trip to London during the summer season on a German airline somehow doesn't seem accurate.
Correction: Check some online ticket websites, it's an accurate price.
They bought "courier" tickets, in which you would give up part of your check-in allowance (e.g. one bag) to take a package for a courier service in return for a substantial discount. A representative of the courier service then picks up the bag/package at the destination. These tickets were popular with backpackers back in the day, but largely don't exist anymore due to the changing market, proliferation of discount airlines, non-existent baggage allowances, security concerns, etc.
Correction: Actually, his left arm, being robotic, would work as well as, if not better than, a human arm, but Det. is so "Robophobic" he will go out of his way to avoid using it. He hates it being a part of him, and would rather go though extra trouble than accept robots/robot technology as good and useful.
