Across the Universe

Continuity mistake: Near the end, when Lucy tries to get into the building, she is blocked by police officers holding clubs straight ahead in front of them. The scene cuts to a roof shot, then back again, and Lucy tries again, but the clubs are missing, the cops just have their hands out in front of them.

Revealing mistake: Although set in the 1960's, the school bus lettering was Arial, a font not invented until 1983.

Continuity mistake: During "Hey Jude" when the drummer drums on the cans the wall in front of him is not hit by the sun or showing any light, almost as if he is in a large ally. But after he kicks the lid off the can and the scene changes there is a ray of light on the whole wall.

Trivia: Not only are all of the main characters named after characters in Beatle's songs, most of the minor ones are too. For example, Rita the contortionist is from "Lovely Rita", Jude's Mother, Martha, is from "Martha My Dear", and Danny, Lucy's first boyfriend, is from "Rocky Raccoon."

Trivia: Just before the "Hey Jude" sequence, try to find Paul McCartney in the bar. He's a bit blurry, but he's there sipping on a beer.

Max: Is what fashionable?
Lucy's Mother: Your haircut, or lack of one.
Lucy: Androgyny suits you, Max.

Sadie: You got a good memory for faces?
Max: Yeah, I think so. Why?
Sadie: There's no mirror in your bathroom.
