Continuity mistake: In the scene, near the end, when Raimunda, Soledad and Agustina are having dinner in the deceased Tía Paula's house, there's one shot where Raimunda is looking at Sole, at her right; the next shot shows her, at the very same moment, looking to her left, at Agustina.

Visible crew/equipment: When Raimunda and her daughter are walking in the city centre, the director, camera and crew are seen in the reflection of a window.

Trivia: Penelope Cruz received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for her role as Raimunda, making her the first Spanish woman ever to be nominated in that category.

Trivia: In real life, Penelope Cruz is only eleven years older than Yohana Cobo, despite portraying her mother.
