Plot hole: When Annie Sullivan, as Helen Keller's teacher, gives Helen a doll that makes a sound, when they are alone in the small house, Helen upends the basket that holds all her dolls, but when the doll makes a sound, Helen grabs the doll and makes the sound the doll makes; but Helen is deaf, so how could she have learnt to imitate it?

Plot hole: When Helen first goes to the little house, she throws a tantrum, tossing her dolls out of a basket, but when she hears one doll cry out, she grabs the doll and makes the same sound; she's deaf, there's no way she hear the doll, let alone imitate it.

Aunt Ev: Why, this child has more sense than all these men Kellers, if there's ever any way to reach that mind of hers.

Annie Sullivan: All's fair in love and war.
Captain Arthur Keller: This is not war.
Annie Sullivan: Well, it's not love.

Kate Keller: What happened?
Annie Sullivan: She ate from her own plate. She ate with a spoon. Herself. And she folded her napkin.
Kate Keller: Folded her napkin?
Annie Sullivan: The room's a wreck, but her napkin is folded. I'll be in my room, Mrs. Keller.
Viney, Keller Maid: Don't leave now, Miss Annie. Dinner'll be ready right away.
Kate Keller: Folded her napkin. My Helen folded her napkin.
