Trivia: This comedy features several future stars. It was the feature film debut of Matthew Fox of "Lost" fame and superstar Matthew McConaughey (albeit in a very small role). It's one of Philip Seymour Hoffman's earliest movies. And it would have also been Renée Zellweger's feature film debut, but her scene was cut before release.
My Boyfriend's Back (1993)
Directed by: Bob Balaban
Starring: Traci Lind, Andrew Lowery, Danny Zorn
Trivia: The film's title is derived from the 1963 song of the same name. Ironically, even though the song was featured in the movie's trailers, it wasn't featured in the film itself. Additionally, the title is a bit of a misnomer, as the two romantic leads weren't in a relationship until the very end of the film, so Johnny wasn't technically Missy's boyfriend when he came back from the grave.
Trivia: When Johnny takes Missy to the movie theater, in one of the comic panels we see the name of the movie they're seeing is "Johnny Zombie." This was actually the original title of this film before it was changed to "My Boyfriend's Back."
Johnny: You may not know this, Missy, but I ate Chuck for YOU.
Missy's Friend: God, my boyfriend won't even pump gas for me.
Mr. Dingle: Goodbye, son. Be nice to God.
