Catherine Called Birdy

Other mistake: Birdy's father whipped/flogged the palm of her right hand 10 times with a rod (or stick) yet she was able to hold a pen and write in her book with no sign of injury, pain, or even discomfort later that night. (00:28:12 - 00:29:24)

Revealing mistake: In the wide view, the tree trunk is perpendicular to the level ground while Birdy and her cousin are standing. There is no large tree to the left, just a fence-like display of shrubbery parallel to the ground running across the rear of the screen. When the camera shifts to the girls sitting next to the trunk, they are made to appear as though they are sitting on a grade (not level ground), the background shrubbery runs diagonally across the screen, and a large tree is visible to the left. Edward the Monk: Knowing your own story will be your salvation.

Lady Aislinn: When you try to bend the ways of the world, I will cheer for you, Birdy, but I fear for you. To see you hurt, I could not sustain that. I would rather see you settle than seared.
