Jeepers Creepers

Continuity mistake: About 10 minutes into the movie, when the truck is chasing the 2 college students in the car and starts ramming them, the bumper and the trunk is smashed in. The shot changes and shows the car's rear end and it is in perfect condition. This repeats at least 3 times.

Other mistake: When Darry is in the basement under the church, Darry is laying on the floor surrounded by a circle of sunlight appearing through the pipe. Then follows a series of cuts between Trish at the open end of the pipe, and Darry. Why do we not see a silhouette of Trish on the floor rather than a perfect circle of light?

Plot hole: This huge demon monster flies around and is seen by at least 30 people, and the day after this demon kills all these people. Everyone just goes on with their daily life. Where the hell is the FBI and the National Guard, this thing just killed 10 people and there's no search the next day for this demon that killed about 5 police officers?

New this month Suggested correction: It takes time to mobilize the FBI and the National Guard, or anyone on that level. Perhaps they were on their way by the time the end of the film takes place. In fact, if you watch the third film, which starts the next day, there were lots of law enforcement officials inspecting the truck and searching for the Creeper, so it's not like they weren't informed.

As for going about their business, well, life goes on. Things still need to be dealt with so perhaps they're dealing with things that need to be dealt with while still thinking about the events that occurred.

Trivia: In the final shot, the Creeper's eye looking through one of the holes of dead Darry is Justin Long's eye. (Confirmed on the DVD commentary).

Trivia: Just something to spot - when the Creeper picks up the male police officer's head to eat the tongue, the slogan on the large billboard behind him reads "tastes so darn good!"

Trivia: The title song which so terrifies Trish and Darry was originally written for the film Going Places (1938). It was nominated for a Best Original Song Oscar in the category's first year.

Trish: The first time I heard that story, I used to think this would be the road I'd die on.

Jezelle Gay Hartman: Every 23rd Spring, for 23 days, it gets to... eat.
Darry: Eat?
Jezelle Gay Hartman: You know what it eats and don't you make me tell you.

Darry: We have to get out of here.
Trish: No, let's stay and feed the birds.

Question: What did Jezelle mean at the police station about the creeper saying "I think it's eaten too many hearts for its own to ever stop."

Answer: Since the Creeper needs various body parts i.e. eyes to see, lungs to breathe, it would also need to eat the hearts of its victims for its own heart to keep beating. Or she could mean that the Creeper is essentially devoid of all emotions as it keeps attacking anybody that has the body parts that it needs to extend its own life.

Question: Where would the monster get the fuel for his vehicle? Surely he wouldn't be fueling up at the gas stations.

Chosen answer: There's no reason he couldn't use a gas station. In the dark he just looks like a guy with dark skin, unkempt hair, and a trench coat. Even if somebody does get close enough to get a good look at him, he would easily kill them to keep his secret.

Question: Why does the woman with the dreams attach so much importance to the creature's number plate?

Chosen answer: Because the number plate is BEATNGU which translates to Be Eating You, foreshadowing what will happen to Darry.
