Transformers: The Movie

Continuity mistake: In the battle scene at autobot city, Megatron orders Soundwave to jam the transmission that Blaster is sending to Optimus Prime. When Soundwave ejects Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage & Ratbat we see them flying through the air transforming simultaneously and and both Rumble & Frenzy are coloured the same (red & black) when Rumble is supposed to be purple. Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the movie, Spike and a few autobots are about to be dropped into the vat of acid. When the view is from above the vat, look carefully to see Daniel already in the room standing in the very spot he will shoot the cover from. However, a frame or two later shows Daniel running into the room. (01:13:48)

Continuity mistake: During their fight at Autobot city, Megatron throws a rock at Optimus like a spear. Before he throws it it, looks big in his hands, but when it hits Optimus it looks quite smaller and fatter. Then Optimus pulls it out and it's back to the right size again.

Trivia: The creatures that judge Kranix, Hot Rod and Kup are later revealed in the next series of the Transformers cartoon to be the creators of all Transformers, and used to be the masters of them and Cybertron millions of years a go. They are called Quintessons.

Trivia: It seems Huffer dies in the movie, but you don't see this character get killed. The evidence is that in the episode "Dark Awakening" the Autobots find a graveyard ship with a lot of the killed of characters bodies inside, and one grave says Huffer on it.

Question: Are Blaster and Soundwave in any way related like Sideswipe and Sunstreaker are? They transform into tape-playing devices, they both have cassette robots and so on, so does any one know the answer?

Answer: Alpha Trion seems to have created these two robots with special abilities concerning sound. As all Transformers received new Transformation Forms from the arc after their "sleep", it might have been intentionally from the arc to give them Transformation forms similar to their abilities. However it is not mentioned in the series.

Question: How can Rodimus Prime transform into a completely different vehicle when he looks exactly the same as Hot Rod?

Answer: As Hot Rod got hold of the Matrix it not only altered his physical form (visible in the enlargement of Hot Rod's body), this change also altered his transformation form. Besides - as seen with Astrotrain - a Transformer can even have more than one transformation form.

Question: Who are the inhabitants of the planet we see at the beginning (the first to fall victim to Unicron)? Are they transformers or just normal robots?

Answer: The planet was called Lithone. According to a comic book adaptation, the race that dwelled there were an offshoot of the Transformers who were more emotional. The limited information given on the only two characters named in the movie, Arblus and Kranix, shows that they can transform even though this is never shown.
