Way Out West

Continuity mistake: When Stan and Ollie arrive at Brushwood Gulch, they show Mickey Finn the deed they've got for Mary Roberts, and it has a couple of holes in it from where Stan has been keeping it in his shoe; Ollie even unfurls it to show the camera it's got holes. But in every other shot after that, whenever the deed is shown, it's got no holes in it whatsoever and is perfectly clean.

Trivia: When Lola tickles Stan whilst trying to retrieve the deed in the hotel bedroom, you can see Lola laughing. This was not scripted; Stan Laurel's shrieking was so infectious that Sharon Lynn could not conceal her laughter.

Lola Marcel, the Singing Nightingale: Tell me, tell me about my dear, dear Daddy! Is it true that he's dead?
Stan: Well, we hope he is, they buried him.

Oliver: A lot of weather we've been having lately.

Oliver: Well, fan my brow! I'm from the South.
Mary Roberts: You are?
Stan: Well, shut my mouth! I'm from the South too.
Oliver: The South of what, sir?
Stan: The South of London.
