Trivia: In the beginning of Act II, when Meg runs out of the bar and Raoul chases after her, the actor playing the bartender ducks down behind the bar and Ben Lewis stands up, keeping his back to the audience so as not to ruin the upcoming surprise.
Trivia: When Raoul makes an insulting comment about the Phantom in the bar, the Phantom calls him "insolent boy". When the Phantom appears to the audience for the first time in The Phantom of the Opera, "insolent boy" is his very first line in the song "The Mirror (Angel of Music)".
Trivia: The musical is loosely adapted from the novel The Phantom of Manhattan, which included plotlines that Frederick Forsyth and Andrew Lloyd Webber had discussed, but that Webber felt wouldn't translate well onto the stage.
