Deliberate mistake: In the finale, the main characters exit 'the fall' and climb up the outside of the vehicle. As the vehicle is travelling at thousands of miles an hour, they would have surely been sucked off instantly and most certainly would not have been able to maintain a grip on the ladder rungs as they climbed 'the fall'.
Total Recall (2012)
1 deliberate mistake
Directed by: Len Wiseman
Starring: Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Bryan Cranston, Bokeem Woodbine
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Cohaagen's team break into the train station, some of them enter through the top windows. It was previously established that the atmosphere in that area was unbreathable, but Cohaagen and the rest of the crew move around just fine without the need of a mask, even though the windows to the outside are broken.
Matthias: It it each man's quest to find out who he truly is but the answer to that lies in the present, not in the past. As it is for all of us.
Doug Quaid: But the past tells us who we've become.
Matthias: The past is a construct of the mind. It blinds us. It fools us into believing it. But the heart wants to live in the present. Look there. You'll find your answer.
Trivia: This is Colin Farrell's second role in a movie adopted from a story by Philip K Dick; his first performance was in 2002's Minority Report.
Question: At the end of the movie Colin Farrel checks his arm and sees that the mark they put when he was sitting in the "recall" chair was gone. Does this mean this was all a dream? I mean, the "spy recall" that he wanted?

Answer: The absence of the tattoo on Quaid's arm hints that the whole scenario could have been a memory, brought on by Rekall.
