Corrected entry: When the three killers and the boy are in the house, the boy goes into the bathroom and loses his composure. As he comes out of the bathroom, look on the right side of the screen and there is what appears to be a microphone from the set visible.

Correction: That's not a microphone, it's an ornament hanging on the wall. It's visible as he goes into the bathroom as well.

Corrected entry: In the very last scene, when the guy's head is put in the microwave and exploded while he is still alive, this wouldn't work as microwave ovens do not work with the door open, as a safety precaution.

Correction: Early in the movie, Dr. Collingwood mentions something about "fixing the microwave" (or getting it to work again). It can be inferred that later on he modified the microwave to allow it to operate with the door open. In fact, on many older microwaves, it's not that difficult to do.

Paige: You know what Mari? I think Justin here could be kind of cute if he lost his whole like creepy, hooded Unabomber kind of vibe he's got going on. Don't you think?

Throughout the scene where the SUV crashes in the woods, Sadie is wearing large dangling earrings. In one quick shot where she is seen sitting in the back of the vehicle after the crash, her left earring is missing. It reappears in the next shot.

In the original film, Mari died after being shot in the lake. For this remake, she lived, turning her parents' struggle from a fight for revenge to a fight for survival to give the film a "sense of urgency"
