Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the sparring between Goku and his Grandpa, the clotheslines project clear shadows on the ground. During several shots during the silly fight (several from above when they flip around, or for instance the wide shot that follows the bug-eating bit) there's a total lack of shadows. Continuity mistake: When Goku finds his Grandpa covered in rubble, he removes a wood plank; Gohan's hand is on top of the wood at first, then more logically it is under it. Also, when Goku brings him to the dry landscape, he's clean from the dust. (00:20:00)
Continuity mistake: After battling it out a bit, Goku asks Bulma "What happened to your dragonball?" The characters stand still but the shadows have dramatically moved; Bulma's face is fully lit and Goku 's shadow has moved. (00:24:55)
Continuity mistake: During the Mai vs Chi Chi fight at the Toisan tournament, many different takes have been edited together, since the referees appear in semi-random positions on either side of the fighters. (00:49:20)
Continuity mistake: Mai walks into the ruined village. She points a gun at a harmless basket, weapon in her left hand. Change of angle, and she is now pointing the gun with her right arm before walking away. (00:09:05)
Continuity mistake: Mai puts the blood sample in the vial holding the blade with the thumbpad underneath the metal in the closeup, on the external part in the shots before and after. (00:49:55)
Continuity mistake: After he's been shot, Goku is lying on the ground with his eyes closed; they are open during the rest of the scene once the shot with Muten saying "He's alive" ends. (01:00:00)
Continuity mistake: When the fake Chi Chi points the gun at Goku, her hair suddenly is all the way in front of her arm/shoulder, in a noticeable difference with the previous take. (00:59:25)
Continuity mistake: When Bulma falls in Muten's arms, on the overhead shot you can see her knock the sunglasses off his ear. In the close-up though, Chow Yun-Fat wears them perfectly. (00:38:05)
Continuity mistake: Goku kneels by the grave of his Grandpa. His hand is on a stone, showing a white stripe between thumb and index. In the close-up, the stone is turned differently. (00:22:15)
Continuity mistake: In the close-up of her DBE in front of Roshi's house, Bulma is holding the device with both hands. She is browsing it with just the left hand in the wider shot. (00:28:00)

Continuity mistake: Chi Chi turns around after being hit by the guy she's practicing with; her ponytail flips side in the reverse shot. (00:36:00)
Continuity mistake: Mai takes the dragonball from the long-haired woman of the mid-aftercredits (Seki); when she comes out of the manhole, the leather pouch doesn't have its string hanging loose from the left, but it does when Mai comes closer. (00:09:50)
Continuity mistake: Goku slides on the ground and gets a faceful of a mushy watermelon. When he stands, his shirt is dirty and with pulp all over, but his cheek and hair are clean and dry. (00:03:40)
