Plot hole: At the start of the movie, a great deal is made of the boom mic that enters the shot. This is ridiculous, because Bolt's view would not be restricted to what was onscreen, he'd have a perfect view of the person holding the boom mic (as evidenced by it not being stable). There's no possibility of him not seeing the person holding the mic either. As Bolt completely and utterly believes the world he lives in, and thinks the situations he finds himself in (saving Penny) are real, someone holding a boom mic would break the illusion for him. In all instances in the movie where an outside force (i.e. a dog handler) interacts with him, Bolt never gets to see the person handling him (handler approaches from behind), the boom mic operator however is literally right in front of him.
Bolt (2008)
Ending / spoiler
Directed by: Chris Williams, Byron Howard
Starring: John Travolta, Miley Cyrus, Susie Essman, Mark Walton
Bolt is reunited with Penny when a fire breaks out on the set (accidentally caused by the replacement Bolt) and he goes to help her. Fire fighters get them out of the building. Penny's agent wants to use the accident for publicity and for Penny and her mother to be producers of the show. Penny quits the show and she's replaced by another actress and an identical dog replaces Bolt. The show starts a new story with Penny's character undergoing plastic surgery and aliens as the antagonists (as suggested by the pigeons that Bolt meets in Hollywood). Penny and her mom move to a new house and they adopt Mittens and Rhino . The last scene is Penny and Bolt playing outside.

Suggested correction: He wasn't paying attention and considering that his focus was only on the "action", how the hell would he notice a boom mic when he's trying to protect Penny? His "reality" is never broken even AFTER he's in his trailer.
Question: Sometime within the film as Penny is putting up "Lost Dog" ads, she has a phone number on the paper as well. The phone number isn't a 555-5555 number either, and it might be for fans like in The Incredibles. If you can catch it, can you post it?
Answer: When Penny is printing "LOST DOG" flyers, the last 4 digits of the phone number on the copier are: 8423. This makes the number (877) 504-8423. 877-504-8423 is a number reserved by ABC for movies and TV series. Calling it will provide a short tape recorded message about how fake it is.
