Corrected entry: Claude was asked to fill in as a driver for the commodore, however, this is strange considering he obviously doesn't have a driver's license and hasn't driven in over 40 years.

Correction: That's exactly what Ray said in the movie. So it's not something they have overlooked, probably an issue that superintendent had solved.

Corrected entry: In the first scene where Ray and Claude are being buried, the speaker says "we lay to rest Claude Gibson and C. Banks" instead of Ray Gibson. They never said Ray's name.

Correction: They're actually saying "R" Gibson - I thought the same thing until I listened again.

Corrected entry: When Claude and Ray supposedly commit murder and are sentenced to life in the pen, it's 1932. When the movie goes to 1972 the caption shows they have only been in prison for 28 years. After being in prison for 28 years the year should be 1960 and not 1972.

Correction: They were sentenced in 1932, but the 28 years later is from the point that they fight last. A good amount of years passed before that happened. I believe it was at least 12 years.

Continuity mistake: When Claude and Ray are first put in jail, Sheriff Warren Pike's cut is straight up and down. At the end of the movie the scar is at an angle.

Trivia: Fun to spot - In the scene where Eddie Murphy is fighting the big guy, after a while he says, "I know a bitch named Della who hit harder than you." Here, he is referring to Della Reese, whom he fought with in Harlem Nights.

Question: At the end of the film, how do Claude and Ray afford to live, much less have the money to attend a baseball game? They were both declared dead in a fire.

Answer: Being dead, they would have to get new I.D.s and social security numbers. Being elderly, they'd grift themselves to the proper agencies about being denied their benefits: elderly, disability and pension from the "companies" they worked for.
