Deliberate mistake: When Evan/August first meets Arthur at the park, after playing, you see Arthur leaving his spot without taking the cable and (presumably) the amp as well.
August Rush (2007)
1 deliberate mistake
Directed by: Kirsten Sheridan
Starring: Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Terrence Howard, Freddie Highmore, Keri Russell
Factual error: When August sits down at the piano in the church and begins to play, he plays a passage of ascending notes (his hand is actually on camera so you see it move to the right, up the piano). However, the audio that you actually hear is a passage of descending notes.
Louis Connelly: I can't do it. I'm sorry Frank, I can't do it.
Marshall: No, Louis wait.
Louis Connelly: No! Let me go.
Marshall: Louis.
Marshall: Just let me go man! will you just LET ME GO.
Question: What was the significance of showing us Lyla dropping her necklace outside the hotel? Louis didn't pick it up did he?

Answer: I think it was a necklace she was given by her father, and it breaking shows that she is breaking away from him. Her father picks it up, not Louis.
If her father picks it up, how is Wizard wearing it later in film?
