I watched this movie on Hulu.
This is another one of those films I've heard about for years but never saw. I finally rectified that a few days ago (9-3-25) when I saw it was on Hulu.
Gave it a watch and I liked it a lot. Funny, solid dystopian film. About a man who, in our current present time. Is just an average guy. In fact they make it a point to show how he's average at everything. Just pure cut middle of the road. Then through a military experiment gone wrong with suspended animation, wakes up in the future 500 years from now to a world where everybody has become stupid, and now HE is the smartest man left on the planet.
Hijinks ensue, hilarity, and a very depressing look at a possible future that seems to be more and more possible with each passing year.
This movie even predicted crocs as a popular foot ware.
Glad I watched it finally, and would give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

Question: How did they stay frozen the whole time if they demolished the building? Wouldn't something that can keep a person frozen, require a lot of power? Did they just decide to demolish the building without checking that the power was out? Didn't they put a fudruckers on top of it? How did they remain frozen so long?

Answer: The science in this movie is far-fetched at best. Assumedly the pods had some sort of battery backup for emergencies. If the battery lasted 500 years, we can just assume it was secret government technology.
