Percy (Bernie Mac) convinces Simon (Ashton Kutcher) to make up with Theresa at the party. Simon reveals that he quit his job at JP Morgan because his boss said that there's no future in marrying a black woman. During the party, when it's Percy's turn to say his wedding vows he starts singing and Simon joins in and says to Theresa "there's a million reasons why we shouldn't be together and you know what? I don't care." They kiss and make up and Percy welcomes Simon as a member of the family.
