Possession

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Maud and Roland are lying on the bed in the hotel talking about their love problems, Maud moves her head back slightly on the pillow and then keeps it there so her head is about thirty inches away from his. Roland's head doesn't move but in the shot where they are about to kiss each other, their heads are almost touching.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Roland and Maud are standing on the pier at Whitby, Maud is looking through a pair of yellow binoculars. When she stands up, the binoculars are horizontal but they are pointed down in the next shot. In the wide shot of the bay, the binoculars are pointed up but no one has touched them since Maud stood up.

Possession mistake picture

Continuity mistake: Throughout the scene where Roland and Maud are sitting on the floor looking through the things in the box from Ash's grave, the head of Maud's hairclip switches constantly from one side of her head to the other.

Continuity mistake: During the kissing scene where Maud takes off Roland's shirt, she tells him to wait for the second time. Her lipstick is a tan color and in the next shot when Roland's rolled off her, her lipstick is pink. (00:58:00)

Other mistake: In the scene where Gwyneth Paltrow and Aaron Eckhart are talking about lesbian literature, the Geography of the University is all wrong. They start off walking down outside the Learning resource building (the library), and the next shot of of them travelling up an elevator, before exiting on the third floor of the library. But the elevator they travel in is actually located in the main University building, which is located opposite the library. I should know, I was at the University for six years.
