Revealing mistake: When Lombard sends Herr Grohmann crashing into the suit of armor, the stuntman for Mario Adorf can be seen in the face. (00:46:35)
Continuity mistake: Lombard and the butler are fighting. The Judge asks "Stop it! Stop it you two." In this close-up there are plenty differences in the small crowd at the door; for instance the doctor's hand is at a much higher point of the doorframe, and the actress had her hand on the judge's shoulder and now she's biting a nail. (00:45:40)
Continuity mistake: During the second dinner, the doctor asks for more wine and Grohmann pours it. The Judge's pocket square sticks out a lot, but just a tad in the close-up that follows, as he looks at the leaving Grohmann. (00:44:05)
Continuity mistake: Blore chimes in during the Judge's explanation of the mind games saying "One is bogus." Notice the shadow the Judge casts on the wall. When Blore turns towards the doctor to ask about his alibi, the judge has changed spot casting a different silhouette on the wall. (00:41:20)
Continuity mistake: Miss Bergman interrupts the game of snooker after the doctor has just taken a rather lame shot. Eyes on the ball he shot; when the Judge begins his demonstration, that ball, next to the 8 ball, it's at greater distance from it than before. (00:40:20)
Continuity mistake: When the Judge says "Mr. Owen is one of us", cue dramatic music. Miss Clyde takes her hand off the top of the chair, but she's gripping it like earlier in the next shot. (00:38:15)
Continuity mistake: After the General is murdered, everyone is back in the dining room in front of the statuettes. The Judge mentions that the twisted Owen believes he's doing "justice." Notice the handkerchief in the pocket of the Doctor. It sticks out a lot. Blore says "I'll tell you one thing", and the pochette is now tucked in with just the tip poking out, and it comes out again in full in the next shot. (00:37:50)
Continuity mistake: After the General takes a weight off his conscience admitting to his guilt, his handkerchief feels lifted too and sticks out of his pocket more than before. (00:32:45)
Continuity mistake: General Mandrake confesses his crime. Ilona Bergen asks "How does this help?" Lombard is standing straight and tall, but in the previous shot he was leaning at an angle against the wall and the drawer. (00:32:40)
Revealing mistake: The cable car that plummets to its destruction is missing the number "1" printed on the outside. (00:30:20)
Revealing mistake: As the cable car dangles and the 'heroes' are struggling to find a solution, Mario Adorf operates a control panel that wobbles like cardboard from the slightest touches. (00:29:50)
Continuity mistake: Ann Clyde and Hugh Lombard are drinking milking in the kitchen. During the whole scene Shirley Eaton's golden hair is behind or in front of her shoulders, it keeps switching. (00:28:30)
Other mistake: The singer dies like he's been shot, screaming out and with a violent movement. Nobody in their right mind would say that he passed out drunk, but a couple of guests just assume that. Somehow with such a theatrical and violent death the glass stays also intact and with enough liquid to be examined later. (00:23:40)
Continuity mistake: When the doctor reaches for the glass, he is about to catch it cupping it with two fingers on each side of the stem. He freezes due to Blore's admonition, but his hand is now about to grab it by the side. (00:26:10)
Continuity mistake: Mike Raven performs the song with his collar unbuttoned and bow tie loose. He also dies the same way. In between though, there's the scene where everyone is in the record player room. Everyone but him, who can be seen sitting at the piano. With the bow tie properly fastened like the other guests. (00:17:50)
Continuity mistake: The decanter is open when the singer mentions the "10 little skeletons", and its glass lid is on the top of the piano. When he takes the fatal sip and dies, the decanter is on the keys, but the lid is in a different spot. (00:20:50 - 00:22:00)
Continuity mistake: When Blore gives his explanation about his presence at the villa, marked shadows appear on the mantle where no shadow was present before. (00:19:50)
Other mistake: When the General tells the story of how he received the invitation, he mentions that Owen claimed friendship with someone else who was also supposed to be there. Turns out that the Judge was supposed to meet 'legal friends', and Mrs. Bergen meet people from the film business. It's hard to imagine how anyone - especially one with the General's temper, or a capricious film star - would fail to mention the fact earlier and calmly go on with the situation when it should have been obvious hours earlier that the people they were supposed to meet not only were not there, but were not expected nor even supposed to be. Anyone would have been livid about being so blatantly conned from the beginning. (00:19:00)
Continuity mistake: Owen mentions that he's charging the guests with crimes. Cut, and you can see that there's terrible continuity; Ilona Bergen and the doctor have entirely different posture and arm position, the hands of the judge are close instead of far apart, but even more conspicuously, Frau Grohmann was facing the guests, now is facing the wall.
